Hi,
Is this just me on DM800se (OpenPLi HD skin) or is it a general issue?
The problem is that rewinding recordings using red button does not work. Instead of rewinding the picture is frozen.
Fast forward (blue button) seems to be working fine (x2, x4, x8 etc.)
Can anyone please check and confirm?

On what media?

You might try setting the initial rewind speed to a larger value.

I think it works wrong on recorded files (same, when is used timeshift). Better is using 1,4,7 for skip 15s, 1min, 5min than rewind. May be drivers ?

Agreed, but winding and rewinding should simply work, especially on transport streams.

Well, winding (blue button) works, rewinding (red button) does not.
I have all my transport stream recordings on HDD and this is where I have tested it.
I indeed use 1,4,7 buttons but the red rewind button should also work OK.
I have observed such behaviour for at least a couple of weeks now.

What happens when you press the red button multiple times (increasing the winding speed)?

Nothing. The picture is still frozen although the numbers 2,4,8 etc appear on the screen - but the picture is still frozen.
Shall I upgrade to the latest drivers for DM800se? If so, can somebody point me to the correct link? Or perhaps today's Nightly Build already contains the latest drivers for 800se and it will be best to update the image?

Yes the nightly builds normally have the latest drivers. Although sometimes we revert them because they appear to give big problems.

OK, I will give it a go in the evening and will let you know.
By the way, I think a similar problem has been mentioned here: http://openpli.org/f...en-mediaplayer/
But it was for a different box.

You're using the standard movie player (under the VIDEO or PVR button), and not the "media player" (which has very limited support for video)?

I am using the video player under VIDEO button on the remote.
I'm not sure how long this has continued because I seldom use red/blue rewind/fast forward buttons. I mostly use numeric keys.
But I think it has been like that at least a couple of weeks.
Anyway, I will update the image today and will let you know in the evening. Perhaps the latest drivers will help.

How old are the recordings? Do they still have (valid) .sc and .ap file? If not, you may regenerating them using the reconstructapsc plugin.

OK, so I have checked my recordings again and I can see that the problem concerns all recordings from one particular channel - TCM (Poland).
.sc and .ap files are present but I don't know if they are "valid".
Perhaps it is a problem with transport stream in this one particular channel so the problem is very limited and concerns few people. :)

Can you please remove the .sc and .ap files and reconstruct them using the reconstructapsc plugin? Maybe the files have become corrupt one way or another.

Erik, unfortunately reconstructapsc plugin did not help. I deleted *.sc and *.ap files for all films recorded on TCM Poland (HotBird, SID 7468) but after reconstructing the situation is the same.
When rewinding using blue button the picture freezes. Also, when fast forwarding at speeds x16 or higher the picture freezes.
So far, I have noticed such behaviour only on this one channel so it is not a big problem.
Anyway, thanks for your help.

And you ARE running today's openpli? There was a bug that caused the same effect on some German channels, which was sloved months ago.

I am running Openpli from about 2 weeks ago, so it seems like this is something different than the problem on those German channels if it was solved months ago.
I might send to you or anyone interested a sample 3-minute *.ts recording from TCM Poland but I don't know if this can help diagnose the problem on this channel.

That would definitely help. Don't have hotbird reception...
