Aha, I see...So, The_Ripper is behind it, after all, meaning the kernel changes are his own....

Now it makes sense... OKI, off to test some more...

Thanx!

Oh... I misunderstood: I thought you helped modify the kernel so it is possible that RSI do the work of their own and compile OpenPLi based E2 for AZ HD...

So, you were talking of a separate development or... what's going on? You got me confused now... :D

@Ripper,

You know from the other thread, I'm not an azbox user at the moment, but I'm following azbox e2 project enthusiastically, especially for sigma's Picture Quality opportunities. I just want to know, if there is any chance that Opensat make a deal with PLi team to have an official support for PLi? In this way azbox users can enjoy instant synchronization of PLi development and most importantly, you can concentrate on the core development and bug fixes like CI support, Picture Quality Plugin, etc. Only my two cents.

It all started with a BigBang...

There is no chance the PLi team will support Opensat/azbox. We mentioned several times before.
So please stop asking or even suggesting it.

The sifteam, have a sifteam-koala image for azbox, and he say is based in openpli, the structure of image is the same of openpli,

And the same for VU+, dreambox, clark-tech, it's true?

Thank Your and regards

The advantage of direct support from PLi team, that henksat said it's impossible in this case, is to have daily online updates, safe usage of PLi servers for installining ipk files (since they are guaranteed to be compatible with the image) and of course using this forum for a common PLi image support . But since this will not be happen, there is nothing to do. Lets wait the Ripper's work. But I think all this work will be difficult for Ripper, this is my only concern :(

Again, it`s a decision made by the team, not "henksat" only.

The company has to support OpenPLi, not the other way around. And even then, as p wrote, someone in the team must actually like doing it... It's the same story for all boxes.

Just a quick question: The_Ripper, any news, any hints, as to when the new OpenPLi compatible kernel will be available for various teams, please?

Thanx!
