Hello,

i recenlty got a vuplus uno receiver and i am pretty happy about it. My only problem is that i have to use it in 720p since 1080i doesn't seem to display correctly on my TV.

My setup is vuplus connected with HDMI cable to PIONEER LX-81 receiver and from there to SONY 52w4000 TV. When i change to 1080i mode i get only 3/4 of the width of the screen displayed and the rest is black.
Anybody having similar problems??? i tried disabling hdmi cec option but still get the problem.
Anyway i can troubleshoot this ???

i am fairly certain it is not a hardware problem since my previous receiver kathrein ufs910 with enigma2 displayed this properly and also my HTPC is at 1080p without any problems.

What output frequency have you selected?

i have tried selecting both 50/60 and multi but no difference whatsoever.

You should at least really select 50 Hz as the VU+ drivers don't handle 60 Hz correctly. Is the source material also 50 Hz?

Also a last resort: restart the box while the television is connected (and maybe even on).

I have tried selecting 50 Hz and also restarting and i get the same problem. This is probably a compatibility issue with my pioneer receiver, i will try connecting the box directly to the TV and see what happens also i will try a new HDMI cable and see if this is a cable issue.

The first is more probable, but it may be worth trying both.

Maybe you can try first to connect the VU+ directly to your Sony TV system and check if the problem still occurs, in this way you can rule out your Pioneer receiver

If it can help you, I have a Vu+ Uno, connected to a Sony 40W4000 (same technology but smaller flat screen), through a Denon AVR 1910 receiver, and this problem doesn't occur.
It seems that it is related to your Pioneer AV receiver :/

I have a similar problem, same box vu+ uno connected to a pionner receiver and then to led philips, and when booting it say the format is not supported, no image i have to put in stanby and then turn on again and everything is ok, but if a connet to my tv directly no problem, its not totaly compativel whith receivers, and every boot this happens.
