Hi,

My 2 cents for the HDMI-CEC problem, I have face also issues with Panasonic and HDMI-CEC the solution was to go into Panasonic TV Menu on the Viera Link (named gived by Panasonic to HDMI-CEC) and then turn off:  Power on Link and Power off Link.

Otherwhise TV turned on properly but never switch to the right entry.

So when playing around with HDMI also try to disable some features on the TV side this can help the overall HDMI-CEC behavior.

Hi,

HDMI-CEC settings on STB:
(Note: It is not clear when the physical address is refreshed. At least it shows the correct value aftre power cycle of the STB. Now, the box is connected to HDMI1 input of TV)

Attached File  hdmicec.jpg   26.91KB   34 downloads

HDMI-CEC (Sony Bravia Sync) settings on TV.
Generic settings

List of found devices is empty
(It remains empty even after repeated searches)
Attached File  IMG_20141004_125610120.jpg   33.9KB   18 downloads

STB apperas on the list if STB has a power cycle while the TV is on.
(Even though the STB is present on the list, the CEC control towards the STB is inoperable. The STB entry will be deleted from the list after the TV is put to standby.)
Attached File  IMG_20141004_133709396.jpg   27.82KB   18 downloads

I looked into enigma logs and found log entries when STB is sending volume control commands towards the TV, however I did not find any CEC RX message log entry.

Here is the SW and HW info

It is a Cloud Ibox2 Plus box. I hope that there is no HW limitation.

Your box is not supported by OpenPLi, so I'm afraid you need to seek help somewhere else.

ET9000, OpenPLi 4.0, 13E, 19E

HD51, OpenPLi 6.2, 75E - 30W

Damn. This box has Openpli preinstalled by factory.

Does your statement mean that you won't help me at all?

Neither me (because I have no idea about your box) nor OpenPLi team (because they only support boxes listed in the bottom right corner on this website: http://openpli.org/download/)

It means you have simply been tricked into having an OpenPLi image on your box.

Ok. Then I will perform test with a supported box type to see if the issue is HW or SW related.

When i press menu on TV-remote enigma menu appears. Shouldn't do that, right?

Then the remote control of the TV sends a code that the VU Ultimo understands as a command for itself. No HDMI-CEC involved.

I think, when is disabled CEC in .py, still are received codes from driver in .cpp. May be, are still sended to e2 ? I think, for me it worked same, but I am not using TV's RC more...

There have been more reports about the need to completely de-install the HDMI-CEC plugin to stop it from receiving commands from the telly and sending commands to the box. Simply disabling the plugin doesn't seem to stop it completely from working.

And as VU uses a completely different IR-language from all other devices, interference with any RC is very unlikely (contrary to the Xtrends, who use a sub-language which results in much interference with many devices).

Yes it's cec command that's is sent. Not really a big issue normaly but now i have a new TV and a lot of tweaking in TV menus for best picture settings.

But if plugin have a disable setting then it should be disabled both ways.

Workaround might be to disable cec on the tv itself.

How about tweaking the proc entries, or is there no proc interface? It might be a bug in the plugin?
