use 3.0 instead, so you don't need v4l-dvb-modules anymore

Sometime the full drivers package is indicated under another device name, especially if the dongle in question is not very common or sold under another name.

Please look at the Linux list wich I put the link.

List all the devices using the STK7700D circuit then try to find the name in the packet list.

Don't forget after packet installation, it is sometimes necessary to shut down the STB..i mean not just reboot...

So you are saying, in 3.0 the drivers work?
I fear I would loose much of the existing functionality if I would activate a firmware that is supposed to be alpha stage atm.
I would really hate to have to fiddle arround for weeks to get to the same stage as 2.1 is now.

Right now 3.0 works the same as 2.1. This means thay you wont loose current functionality.

Then the drivers that exist on 2.1 works on 3.0?

I can send files to coder but i dont know if files i have are the same that works on 3.0

When reading the 3.0 thread I cannot understand how you can make such a statement.
Sorry, but this is no option for me at the moment.

I now tried 3.0 with the dib0700 drivers on the vu+ duo.
They install ok, the tuner is listed and I can do a scan.
Unfortunatly no channels are found.
As I said before, the same stick works flawlessly using vti or lackhole images.
Any ideas?

Yes sure. I was using a WinFast DTV Dongle which has the Stk7700 chipset.
I tried a Hauppauge Wintv Dongle with the same chipset today and it works fine.
So there seems to be a problem with the drivers in 3.0
Thanks for your answer anyways
