Dear all,

I've a DM500HD, fresh-installed several OpenPli nightly builds, and I've got a problem with the MediaPlayer.
I often watch videos in english (MKV, AVI...) with spanish subtitles in SRT format. The issue is that the video doesn't start from the beginning, sometimes it starts several seconds or even minutes after, no matter if I've played previously that video or not. Watching high definition videos sometimes it's not capable of playing that video (black screen), other times the box hangs and I've to reboot it.

It seems the subtitles are enabled by default, I don't know if this is the cause or what else can be.

This behaviour doesn't happen with older OpenPli builds or with other image such as Newnigma.

Thanks in advance!

In the latest PLis there is some kind of memory that remembers the last position you last time watched the recording/mkv/avi.... via menu you have an option to reset this point for the current recording/mkv/avi....

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

Thanks for your feedback littlesat.
But, like I said, is happening on movies that I've seen before as well as new movies never watched before in my Dreambox.

I think is something related to the subtitles, because the subs appears to be perfectly sync with the video, I mean the video always starts with subtitles on the screen. In older PLI images I've to start the video and then enable the subtitles, many seconds after that the subs appears on the screen. This time when I start the movie playback there are subs on the screen.

Because of this behaviour the real issue here is sometimes the I've to exit the MediaPlayer, or even worse, reboot the dreambox because it hangs playing a HiRes video.

Thanks for your support!

I've tried with the latest OpenPLI build "OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm500hd-20120313.zip".
I'm not sure what's going on. I've removed the subtitles for many movies and still happens, the film doesn't start from the beginning.
On HiRes movies again I've got a black screen a lot of times. Sometimes it works.

You have truth. Time to time plaback begin on last played position with question Yes/No, but after No continue and not start from start of movie.

Subtitles are made as "autorun" now.

I can confirm bug - It seems, that time to time is used "last played position" as "start position" of playback. In this case has Yes/No same effect. Tried it on mkv files.
