hi all.....

nice forum here, very cool :-)

well i have this problem... i have a dm 7020 with newest pli image installed
but it can not read my new nds card, so i have bourght me a smargo card read, and it setup to autoswitch and dreambox, with the windows software.
my problem is that i can not get the dreambnox to read the card from it, i read some place that you need to enable usb in kernel settings ???? or is this not right ???
i did add the
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
to cccam.cgf line..

any suggtions...
thanx in advance for helping me out...

try in console: opkg install kernel-module-ftdi-sio

and reboot.

also try changing this: /dev/usb/tts/0
to this: /dev/ttyUSB0

wasn't 'dreambox mode' only for the powerpc dreamboxes?
Try with normal mode instead.

set the smargo to "Normal" instead of "Dreambox"
as pieterg mentioned this dreambox mode was necessary some time ago (not only for powerpc but also for DM-800 with early Gemini Images).

and then - as Spock mentioned - change the line in cccam.cfg to
SERIAL READER: /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+

and everything should be working ok.

no crad inserted in dev/usb

/dev/usb is not a correct device node
