Hi,

Some time ago I noticed a strange behaviour of infobar channel number if the same channels exist in different bouquets.
Let me give you an example:

Bouquet 1: 1.Channel A, 2.Channel B, 3.Channel C
Bouquet 2: 4.Channel D, 5.Channel E, 6.Channel F
Bouquet 3: 7.Channel G, 8.Channel E, 9.Channel H
Bouquet 4: 10.Channel I, 11.Channel J, 12.Channel H

If I am flicking through Bouquet 3, instead of seeing channel number 8, I see number 5, and if I am flicking through Bouquet 4, instead of seeing channel number 12, I see number 9. I'm not sure if this happens all the time or only on certain occasions. Has anyone else noticed such behaviour?
I am not 100% sure but I think I experienced a similar behaviour on the previous image I used, too (non-OpenPLi), so the issue may be very deep.

This is by design, all channels have a unique number, so you can zap to a channel by number whether the are in a bouquet or not.

Bouquets should be viewed as some sort of favorite lists, a collection of channels in a custom order...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Wanwizard, this is simply not true.
A single channel can appear in more than one Bouquet, and that IS by design.
When you do that, and you go through the bouquets you will the different numbers assigned to that single channel. One number in each Bouquet where it appears. So the numbering is NOT unique for a channel.
And when you zap and see the info for the channel in the Infobar, you will always see the lowest number assigned to that specific channel, even if that number is not part of the active Bouquet..

Indeed when a channel is used in more bouquets it can have two different unique numbers -and- indeed the infobar gives you the first match in the long list....

Hmm... That is odd. I always understood that the channel number was related to the location of the channel in the global list.

I don't see the added benefit of having different numbers for the same channel in different bouquets, is seems like a silly implementation...

There must be some bad... when i have in same bouquet 2 channels with same service name and different spacename ( are from different satelites position), then i got in infobar ( with zapping via Left/Right) same number for both channels ? But in bouquet has each own different number.

Same here.

I have 7 different ESPN America's (different sat's) in a bouquet numbered from 1 to 7 in the bouqetlist but in the info panel there are 4 channels with number 3 and 2 channels with number 7.

Changed a few days ago after an update

And nice is, when you move it to diferent position in bouquet ( f.eg. 30), in info will be still old position.
In this time it is cosmetics only... channel number is counted from service names

I'm afraid the cause of the problem has not been traced yet. :(

I have the same as Robinson and I do not like it. I would very much like to have totally independant bouquets so that when zapping I want to stay within that bouquet. On my old Challenger STB I get the facility to add channels from a complete satellite list to individual bouquets and I can zap within a bouquet without leaving it. I use this facility for example as follows. I have two similar bouquets, each with the same channels in the same order. The second bouquet has additional channels added at the end. So bouquet one can have, say, 35 channels and bouquet 2 can have, say, 57 channels. Channels 36 to 57 in bouquet 2 are mainly erotic channels which I do not want everyone to see. So I can be watching say, channel 27 RTL9 on either bouquet and nobody needs to know that I could be watching it from within bouquet 2. It´s a form of Parental Control as long as no-one realises that there is more than one bouquet with the same initial channel list.
I repeat, I would very much like to have totally independant bouquets.

I have a Challenger II and a VU+ Duo

I am using modified file for bad numbering channels with same name in one bouquet. Try, if it helps you. (Make backup old .pyo file before it.)

Unzip, copy to .../.../Components/Renderer/ and then restart gui.

- channel number in current bouquet is counted from service names and not from serviceref. Service name can be in bouquet many times.
When is founded first equal servicename, routine ending and return channel number - but it can be wrong number.

There is counting channel number from service reference.

@littlesat - patch for it is long time in bugs.

I found a side effect regards this patch. Webstreams that are included in the list do not get a number on the zap OSD... In the list you can still see some in case a bouquet starts with a normal service - but working.

This patch solving, when are in bouquet several services with same name, then they get true number in ZAP mode.

There is next problem in zap mode still. When is some service added in more bouquets, then in zap mode is displayed wrong number of this service - it is number of same service, but from previous bouquet.
Only - when this bouquet directly before.
