forget BER on VU+ tuner. Neither DVB-S2 nor DVB-C are showing real BER values.

yups you are right the BER values on the vu ultimo don't work Well DVB-C and DVB-S2

I know ,i have ber 1076 on cable tuner of my ultimo doesnt matter what i do it is always 1076 my brother with a vu ultimo same value 1076, there was a tree in my garden signal dropped 20% but ber 0 on dvbs2 tuner so i know what you mean

I decided to try a dual tuner in the Ultimo, hoping that I could perhaps avoid using slot C.

I put the DVB-T in slot A and the borrowed dual S2 in slot B. I left slot C empty.

The machine booted, but only detected the DVB-T in slot A.

I swapped the dual into A and put the DVB-T in B.
The image would not boot, it stayed stuck on the Starting GUI screen (BH 2.0.5).
Anyone else have grief with a dual tuner in an Ultimo?

Hi,

if you have informed yourself you should have know that dual tuner card only works in slot C. No grief it is documented.

Hi,

 

It seems that this problem is well-known in Germany and that a capacitor needs to be removed from the tuner placed in slot-3 in order to fix it.

You should search on german speaking board for the solution.

Would any German speaker reading this be so kind as to find me a link to the solution of removing the capacitor?

 

I'm afraid my German is not up to this....
