Maybe you can talk about the license problems etc. with VIX and the devs on the world-of-satellite-board ! and don't ask attentions at the Pli-board

Pls consider the situation that we can't use Cool TV Guide together with OpenPli 3.0 now. We like your plugin for a long period.
So when can we expected your new plugin (Copyright protected) Cool TV Guide ???

Maybe you can lookup the definition of "patience" instead constant wining and pushing like a 3 year old, that would be a nice attention.!

You can use CoolTV perfectly in OpenPLi 2.1 FYI

I'm not complaining and I'm not against this epg plugin.
I just like to point out that making it open source (maybe it is but I cannot find any statement about it) would be even better.
You see what happened to OpenPli or to OpenWebif! The same can happen for cool tv guide.
Compare that with what is happening with DMM itself closing their code....

OpenPli is about open source software for your STB. So we will embrace others that open up their source. Everybody is welcome to do so.

and if you remember the past, then you understand why !

at the beginning from Cool TV Guide comes a member from VIX and told me to help...
i think you know him, its Andy...
so he help me about 2 weeks...
so long till he had the full source in his hand...
after then, i heard nothing more from him !

around 2-3 weeks later oh wonder, a "new" EPG from VIX come out VIX EPG !
they steal me the full source and rename it for VIX !

and thats not all...

at their forum they told to the user, that the VIX EPG is soooo a lot of better and quicker then the Cool TV Guide
and Coolman is a bad coder....

so mirakels tell me,

where you find at VIX EPGs that the sourcecode is from me ?

VIX EPGs = a little, now old Version from Cool TV Guide !!!

and this fact i can verify you !

so now you know why Cool TV Guide is closed and have a Copyright

i am not going to get into to this debate again, i proved to you in the past that it was the other way around you started with my code (which i had no issues with) but then you told everyone it was all your code, which was not the case. we did work together for a short time but we both had different ideas of how the plugin should go. i wanted to keep it slim lined and not bloated,

but i said you started to everyone it was all your work and that was not true, yes you did code some 'cool' stuff but it was not all your work.. and as i could not be arsed to argue we parted ways, and then you when closed source.

ViX does not use epg plugin's ALL my epg screens are embedded within my Engima2 and ALL share resources and code for each screen.

enough said, i will no longer respond on this matter.

I think you owe pretty much to him for creating EMC.

But anyway: I think there must be room to react on Coolman's accusations, and/or for him to withdraw them.

Coolman has made a reaction why he kept his code closed and explained what happened.
Andy react that he doesn't use the code so that's it.

I think Satkiekerd is a close friend of the VIX clan, so he is here to defend them.
Gaining reputation points, they like that on the VIX forum

Furthermore I think that this talking about who has done what and why and how will not resolve anything.
It will be no more than "yes, I have, no you have not, yes I have" kind of discussion.

Better to close this thread, and go on with some constructive talking about the Pli Image and the Plugins.
