Did a complete new flash of my ET-9100 with yesterday's build.

found that in the directory /media there is a subdir /net where all my mountpoints are.

but on earlier releases ther also were subdirs /hdd and /usb which are missing here.

when creating e.g. /usb it properly appears as /media/usb and I can store data in it.

BUT - Surprise !
after reboot the whole subir with its contents is gone !!

any hints ?

thank you

/media is tmpfs now. Any mountpoint will be created before it is used.
If that's not the case, please let us know the details.

i thought so and the mountpoints are maintained nicely - that's not the problem.

there are some apps/plugins wanting to access /media/hdd and /media/usb respectively but since those subdirs to /media are not present nor can they be created things go awry then......

Which plugins?
Real musicians never die - they just decompose

There should be no problem for those plugins to create them, if they want.
However, I think the plugins should probably be fixed to ignore media paths which have not been mounted. Which plugins are affected?

of course, it's your preferred enemy - HD-Glass-16 skin.(5.04)

wants to download Help-Files, icons, picons to /media/usb.........

where is the sourcecode hosted? So we can supply a patch.

where the source is hosted I honestly don't know - I just got the ipk from the ET-view website.
but with all these discussions about this skin I think you are already in contact with the developer (shamann)

However I have found a workaround in creating a symlink in /root pointing to /usr/share/enigma2, named "picon".
and renamed the icon/picon path in HD-Glass setup to /picon.

Now everything works as designed, all necessary support files are downloaded and persistent even after restart.
