Where do I start, well I have the dm500 Maxvar image from the 20-4-2012 and set it all up with Mediaplayer plugin first. I also installed VLC Player 2.0.1 from the website on my PC. I have Win 7 Ultimate on my PC.

1 - Mediaplayer finds the files in my directory folder and lists them no problem, but when I click to play them a window appears saying "Buffering-finished 0%" and then dissappears, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if there is any solution to this?

2 - I used Play2Dream to try and stream from my PC to Dreambox but that got me nowhere, I got "unable to change directory" error first so I copied the files manually and I can access it from the Dreambox but it wont connect to the server even after I changed the xml file with my ip address and directory?

So I have Mediaplayer that can see my files but wont stream them and I have VLCF that refuses to see anything. I have been at this for 2 days now and read everything there is to read so I am really hoping there is some solution to any of the above 2 problems or any advice that can help me please...

I have attached a pic of what happens when I use Mediaplayer to try and play a file...

Movieplayer is not compatible with VLC 2.x. Use VLC < 2

Edit: Movieplayer could be compatible with VLC2.0, but in VLC2.x is bug in type of mpga/mp2a audio yet => no sound on OE1/CDK boxes.
When it will be solved, I will add vlc2. x support to movieplayer for oe1/cdk.

vlc on pc 2.02 but here all the tested version image movie player I can not find (vlc dm) dreambox film on ps sees but does not play (vlc server error with vlc server none type object has no attribute get attribute)
somewhere on a computer error with vlc thanks

Use VLC 1.xx. For 2.xx must be changed some files there in VLC plugin.
Is enabled IP of your PC there in vlc's .host file there on PC ?

I tried version 1, but nothing. how do I enable ip? in the Dreambox video avi I see but can not be played thanks

Change - uncomment (remove # ) line: 192.168.0.0/16 in original file. Nothing more... Then restart VLC.
May be, firewall on Win7 ?

Here are files for VLC plugin for VLC 2.x - unpack and replace it ( /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/VLCPlayer ) , then restart enigma2.

There in settings for server you choose, if si VLC <2 or not.

After upgrading my Ubuntu HomeServer from 10.04 to 12.04, I had also the VLC 2.0.3 installed...and no webinterface!! ;-((

after changing the file rights I had a WebInterface again...

the last was this mistake: vlc server error with vlc server none type object has no attribute get attribute.

This Problem was solved with Ur File.

Tested with dm7020HD 2.5er VLC Plugin;
2 x dm800HD with 2.5er VLC Plugin ( one of them had the PLI3.0 Beta Image..)
