But in that case, I hope, as an IT lay person, Flash Expander will be helpful...
Can it work with OpenPLi in DMM boxes? OpenRSI for AZbug didn't...

Why make images larger then necessary with modules who are not used. Lets add them when it's needed otherwise you can add everything and then you go to images up to 200MB

In openembedded the last gcc version is 4.5 and dream is now using gcc4.6 To support new drivers in openpli someone need to add gcc-4.6 and probably serveral patches in openembedded.
Oe-core is the kernel to old so I think this is no option.
