Hey guys,

Buggy vuduo drivers for kernel 3.1 forced me to revert to previous drivers and kernel 2.6.18.

Is it possible to have old kernel and newest openpli at the same time?

Can I simply upgrade openpli packages with 'opkg upgrade'? Probably not... what other choices do I have to not stay behind?

I think it depend on VU+ they provide the drivers.
Maybe you need to ask VU+ to supply stabile and uptodate drivers.

thanks, I know that, in the meantime it would be nice to upgrade and keep an old kernel... question is how this could be done?

What is wrong with those drivers? I think I had more problems with the pre 3 drivers (certain avi files were unwatchable due to judder during horizontal movement) That's now completely gone. So what is the visible effect of the buggy drivers for the vu duo?

you can read about my problems here:

I record directly to a network drive. I cannot watch 'in progress' recording, because it freezes (spinner is displayed) from time to time. I tried all 3.1 drivers with no success.
