Hello,
I live in the Caribbean and I've subscribed to CanalSat I received from the satellite "Intelsat 903 34.5W". Currently I can not receive data EPG (CrossEpg for example on Vu + Ultimo) because the satellite is not referenced in your database.
Please, you is it possible to add it?

we do not have data from this satellite in out channels file.
If you can provide me with the data - see elsewhere in this forum for the way to provide the needed info - I think we can help you out.

Penthouse HD : no schedule found

+ de sport, ATV and canal 10 are not found on french websites. However several channels exists with the same name. If you can provide me with the addres of a website which list the correct schedule, I will try to include them.

The others have the schedule from the France attached. I hope the channels do not have a time lapse. If so we have to resolve that problem.

Channels have been added now to the rytec.channels.xml file
Please verify if you need to update Crossepg through the menu to have the latest channelfile.

Firstly, a big thank you to all the team Rytec.

Earlier in the menu "CrossEPG" by the command "Update Rytec providers" I got 28 providers. Today it's the same thing : "28 providers updated".
And in the menu "XMLTV providers" I see nothing new. I tried to download "Rytec France XMLTV" but EPG does not change.

I do not know which provider channels have been added.

The program is unique to the region and not just a time shift ( -6 h summer and -5 h winter to Paris) but sometimes interchanged programs

Hello, I have updated the channelfile with your channel service codes, maybe you try it first with restarting the box ? Otherwise you could also try to use the xmltv importer from Openpli.

This is what I was afraid of.
This means grabbing new schedules.
So, once you have the schedules imported, could you look for schedules which are wrong. (I cannot do this myself because I do not have the sat in my setup). I presume TF1 and the France channels will be correct, but others might not.

What I do not understand : You say "I have updated the channelfile". Is this "Rytec France XMLTV" you update ? Or another, or specific ?
If it is "Rytec France XMLTV" I have not the EPG over several days but only 2 TV programs. Multi downloads and restarts the box.

@Willy : the web site is easy to see (or other signification of "grab" ?). Maintenance ?? All times are GMT -4 on the web site.

The new channels are included in the main channels file.
For the these you have to load the French package.

Website: Yes the website is easy to read, however grabbing is something different all together. Try opening the html source of the webpage and see if you can understand it.

I just give it a try with EPGImport and it works (EPG over 5 days) but only for the following channels :
FRANCE O
I TELE
COMEDY +
SEASONS
ACTION
URBAN and TRACE

For all other channels on the EPG I have only 2 TV programs.

Sorry to hear this.
I import the french package as well (but for 19.2 E) and the channels all have epg, so the data is present in the XMLTV file.

But a couple things could still go wrong: The service refs you gave me are flawed. Or a typo in the channels file.
We have to find this out.

First of all restart your box and perform a manual epg import.
After the import find the the import log. This can be found with the epgimport window open and pressing the EPG button.
Now you an save the log. The log can then be found in the /tmp folder. Pls. post this log.

Secondly check a few service references manually. Use channels which do not have epg. f.i. TF1 (do not use an obscure channel pls.)

we will correct this. Could create problems.

[EPGImport] imported 932 events

This should be much more.
Normally this is due the fact that the XMLTV data is not linked to a channel. But the above seem to correspond.
On the other hand very few unknown channels exist. So they are referenced.

I have to think about this.

Good evening,

Another test with EPGImport this afternoon gives me 11,510 events! And almost all the channels filled.
Thank you to all the team Rytec for this remarkable work and the help I appreciate it.

Observing programs can be seen that the news and sports channels are good times.
The five Channels of Canal+ are totaly reorganized here in Caribean.
All other channels are offset from 6 hours : if Iread 17:15, I must understand 23:15. It's 6 hours now, it will be 5 hours in winter. For information, my timezone is GMT -4 (Santiago) without daylight savings.

Programs of ESPN are not good. They must match with ESPN CLASSIC or ESPN AMERICA or another.

I am attaching an Excel file that summarizes all this.

This means, I have to grab a separate schedule for the Caribean.
Can be done but will take some time. I have to build a new grabber definition for this.

On e question: do you have daylight saving time changes? I would suppose that does not have much sense over there, except to keep in pace with the rest. This is important for me to know because, I influences how I grab the schedule.

PS: If I understand correctly, most channels are time shifted also f.i. TF1.
They do not give you a simulcast of the mainland french channels?

After some thinking, I could give you a timeshifted schedule very quickly.
But what happens with live broadcasts? Do they also get timeshifted in the Caribean? F.I. the Tour de france do you get them als with a 5 hour delay on you screen? Or are they just given live?

If this is the case then the only thing I can do is grab the schedule from the website you gave. I have to write a new grabber for this, and this will take time - which is scarse at te moment, because I am in the middle of a renovation at the moment.

PS: For the canal+ channels I will have to do this anyway. These will take some time to get corrected.
