I updated my image a few days ago (previous update a month earlier) and I "lost" my second infobar in the Magic-HD-Lite skin. It shows nothing, but it does blank out my permanent clock as it appears to overlay the clock. I reflashed a fresh image today and still no 2nd infobar, but I did restore settings from the previous install. I wouldn't think something in there would cause trouble, but...

I tried the PLi-HD skin & second infobar works fine, so I guess it just effects Magic Lite...

I think thats, because Magic is still using pliExpertInfo (not available now). Try to change in skin.xml

<convert type="pliExpertInfo"...

to

<convert type="PliExtraInfo">All</convert>

not sure you need the ipk, since I think you are building it from : [openpli/openembedded] / recipes / openpli / enigma2-plugin-skins-magic-hd.bb

What you can do it add a line in 41 to be like

rm -f ${S}/usr/share/enigma2/Magic-HD-Common/logos/vix.png

sed -i 's#/vix.png#/pli.png#g' "${fn}"
sed -i 's#type="pliExpertInfo">ExpertInfo#type="PliExtraInfo">All#g' "${fn}"
done
}

also a little bump of PR and that should do it.

Then ask VIX team or VU+NL to adapt The new PliExtraInfo.py is even a performance saver....

That didn't work here...

I have a DM800, OpenPLi 2.1, Kernel: 2.6.18, Enigma: Apr. 26 2012, last upgrade: may 7 2012.
In both Magic HD and PLi HD the second infobar is gone.

It worked on my 3rd try after 2 brain farts. First I didn't pay attention & changed:

<convert type="pliExpertInfo">ExpertInfo</convert>
to
<convert type="pliExpertInfo">All</convert>

Obviouly didn't work, then I changed:

<convert type="pliExpertInfo">ExpertInfo</convert>
to
<convert type="pliExtraInfo">All</convert>

obviously that didn't work as we use a case sensitive OS...

then I spelt it correctly & used the proper capitalization & everything worked fine...

<convert type="PliExtraInfo">All</convert>

Ps. I never lost the 2nd info bar in PLi-HD (apparently the default skin was fixed w/ the switch to PliExtraInfo) so you may have a different problem going on than I had...

So, I go to /usr/share/enigma2/Magic-HD (with DCC) and edited skin.xml:

I changed:

<convert type="pliExpertInfo">ExpertInfo</convert>

into

<convert type="PliExtraInfo">All</convert>

Reboot the DM800 and still no second infobar.

I'm beginning to doubt if we mean the same thing.
I mean the EPG info (now and next) when you press OK twice.

Ya, the second infobar appears across the top of the screen containing additional info from the normal infobar across the bottom. 2nd infobar also needs to be activated in the menu - setup - system - customize screen, unless it's activated by default...

I'm afraid it was a combination of two things: The change in skin.xml and somehow the setting you mention was changed from 'no timeout' to 'None'.
It works again.
Case closed.
