Excellent

Posted 23 July 2012 - 19:58

But I guess there is no need to differentiate between different models.
All that really matters is the chipset:

root@et9x00:~# cat /proc/stb/info/chipset
bcm7405

Good

Posted 23 July 2012 - 20:36

on the etxxxx models please use /proc/stb/info/boxtype for correct box type detection

When I try this in putty I get a Permission denied

et9x00 login: root
root@et9x00:~# /proc/stb/info/boxtype
-sh: /proc/stb/info/boxtype: Permission denied

I see I forgot the cat

i used this:

### >> Adalight 64 lights << ###

[device]
name ambilight
output /dev/ttyACM0
channels 192
prefix 41 64 61 00 3f 6a
rate 115200
debug off
type momo
interval 10000
delayafteropen 1000000

i got info how calculate prefix from adafruit forum.
i also tried your prefix fro 50 led but the lights are always off (prefix 41 64 61 00 31 64 #prefix for 50 leds)
adalight works fine with selftest and atmowin.
i think something is wrong with daemon and grabber...maybe is dm800 that doesn't be compatible...
with which box do you test boblight?
i cant get arduino recognized on ttyUSB*, only ttyACM0 after loading kernel-module-cdc_acm
(dmesg>
cdc_acm 1-2.1:1.0: ttyACM0: USB ACM device
usbcore: registered new driver cdc_acm
drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.c: v0.25:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters)

any hints?

What image you use ? And is the image oe1.6 or 2.0 ?
And do you have more usb devices connected ?

[*] buildin buffer
[*] better fps +/- 50fps
[*] better stb detection
[*]And some other bugs
[/list]
In few weeks we will bring a update...

For info, how to setup you controller in boblight.conf: go to http://code.google.c...ki/boblightconf

Hello

i'm still trying the new boblight pack (0.5r2) files with bad result.

i have installed last openpli 2.1 image with all update since now on my dm800hd.
installed cdc-acm module

i'm using arduino uno with ws2801 leds (adalight)

arduino recognized on /dev/ttyACM0
(dmesg> cdc_acm 1-2.1:1.0: ttyACM0: USB ACM device
usbcore: registered new driver cdc_acm
drivers/usb/class/cdc-acm.c: v0.25:USB Abstract Control Model driver for USB modems and ISDN adapters)

using ledstrem.pde from adafruit/adalight git

64 led's strip ws2801

autotest on arduino works good...i have blue, green.red light on led at startup or when i launch boblightd:
root@dm800:/usr/sbin# boblightd -f

same result starting boblight-constant FFFF00 instead of grabber (leds always off).

programming arduino with atmolight compatible firmware and using mamba atmolight plugin i got leds working (but only a few leds, atmolight doesn't drive 64 leds).
in this case on arduino blinks tx and rx leds.

i thinks there are some troubles with daemon...but how can i debug more infos??

thanks

Hi,

I think your device config is not good. Try this:

#For 50 leds 50x3 is 150 channels
[device]
name ambilight
type momo
output /dev/ttyACM0
channels 150
prefix 41 64 61 00 31 64
interval 10000
rate 115200
debug off #turn this on to see what it's doing with the serial port
delayafteropen 1000000

Use this pde
https://github.com/a...m/LEDstream.pde

And connect the wires like photo.

Kind regards Martijn

i have used the same ledstream.pde

wires are conncted right )sefltest works ok)

any hints??

Can you make a picture for me from the arduino ?
Send it via PM.

Have you tryed /dev/ttyUSB0 ??
And is atmolightd.ng closed ?? this can use the /dev/ttyUSB0

It must be work, i have the same, also arduino with 150 channels.

Hello,

are you using dm800hd or othe dmm stb?
in my dm800 i can use only /dev/ttyACM0 i can't get /dev/ttyUSB0 ...either with mamba plugin i use /dev/ttyACM0 but i see data traffic...only with boblight it seems there is no traffic from daemon to arduino.

my arduino is like yours, only connected GND, data11, data13 (leds self test works ok).

maybe is something wrong with dm800hd? have you heard somebody with working boblight with dm800hd?

Later i will send you by pm some pics...

thanks
