hello, can anybody tell to me what need put on the hosts file in vlc player for watching movies on my dm 500s, i tried put ip of my dm in uncoment line, but it not work. Can anybody show me example how put it on this place

enougt change line f.eg.:
#192.168.0.0/16
to
192.168.0.0/16
if your pc has ip f.eg. 192.168.1.xxx
or add line with IP of your PC

I tried to do this, but my dm 500s can "t comunicate with pc over movieplayer: vlc 1.1.5, open pli image (version:1.9_01.02.2012.). Web interface works fine, and i can watch tv on my pc, it works good, but vlc - dream can"t conect
dm ip:192.168.1.3
pc ip: 192.168.1.2(which i put in the settings of web interface streaming)

did you run VLC with: --extraintf=http ?

yes, i worked everything by instruktions, but there is no conection vith vlc

Now i see ... pc ip: 192.168.1.2(which i put in the settings of web interface streaming)... excuse me, i thought about one and wrote you second...
There in .host must be IP of Dreambox ofcourse => 192.168.1.3 ... but enought is uncomment in this case line #192.168.0.0/16 and restart VLC

Just change the line "192.168.0.0/16" by "192.168.1.0/16" and that's all.

Anyway vlc interface work with this line: 192.168.0.0/16, but just couldn"nt conect with dm box.This is very imported to me and please if you know what is the problem help to me. Thanks!!!

do you set ...Videolan\VLC\http\.host or ...Videolan\VLC\lua\http\host ? It must be ...Videolan\VLC\http\.host file.

enougt is uncomment line #192.168.0.0/16

try run on PC, where is running VLC in webbrowser :

strange... what is is "open pli image (version:1.9_01.02.2012.)" ? 1.9_01.02.2012 ?

i dont know which version of movieplayer plugin, because he came integrated to this image
and image is not maxvar, and i didn t get from this this pages
