Strange, all settings are ok. Could you tray reinstall to VLC 1.1.11 ( but do not install any 2.x) , if it helps ?

When you see in telnet in debug mode, what message returns movieplayer ?

Try to see in telnet, what will see in debug. It can helps.

This must be in some bad setting on PC, VLC, net or so...
- do you using same mask, gw, dns on PC and box ?
- operation system on PC ?
- how you run VLC for streaming ?

You'd probably need to explain how to get debug info from telnet, for the dm500 IIRC...

In telnet: rm /tmp/.enigma (enter)
In telnet: killall enigma (enter)
In telnet: enigma (enter)

Once everything catches up and debug messages in telnet slow, try starting movieplayer. Copy & paste messages that start when movieplayer begins & post the results...

To get back to normal operation, just reboot the box...
