In response to a PM I got but which I think is interesting for more people.

I did not simply "commit" the vu+ blindscan. I made an almost completely new plugin for blindscan. It needs (closed source) support from the manufacturers though, so I made/repackaged them the for vu+ and for et and these get installed automatically when you install the satscan plugin.

If vu+ has a similar closed source binary package for the vu+duo and vu+solo I can arrange for that. Chances are the binary is exactly the same, in that case it would be even simpler. I don't have a vu+duo/solo box myself though, so I can't test it.

Depends on what you want to do ;)

If you have a vu+ultimo, vu+uno or et box, it should be enough to install the plugin satscan. If that doesn't work for some reason, I'd really like to know.

did you check all these files :

vuplus-blindscan-utils-bm750-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vusolo-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vuultimo-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vuuno-2.0.tar.bz2

?

cause md5 of "tda1002x" is same for all and md5 of "vuplus_blindscan" is same for vuultimo and vuuno

i think vuduo and vusolo could use "vuplus_blindscan" too

am i wrong ?

AFAIK the vuduo/solo hardware does not support blindscan unfortunately...

yes, that is wrong, Broadcom 7335 and 7325 on silicon 'tuners' only support peakscan not blindscan :)

vuplus-blindscan-utils-bm750-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vusolo-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vuultimo-2.0.tar.bz2
vuplus-blindscan-utils-vuuno-2.0.tar.bz2

I don't know the bm750, we don't support that box.
The vusolo doesn't support DVB-S blindscan as far as I know.
The vuultimo and vuuno do support DVB-S blindscan, using an identical closed source binary called vuplus_blindscan.

cause md5 of "tda1002x" is same for all and md5 of "vuplus_blindscan" is same for vuultimo and vuuno

The tda1002x is for DVB-C (cable) blindscan.

i think vuduo and vusolo could use "vuplus_blindscan" too

Maybe, maybe not, I cannot test it. If you have these boxes, you might be able to test.

It's clear that there is a lot of confusion about "blindscan" because the manufacturers are using the name for various things.

The package dreambox-blindscan-utils, for instance, contains executables for cable blindscan (dvb-c).
The package vuplus-blindscan-utils contains executables for both cable and satellite blindscan.
For et there is a "blindscan" package that only contains executable for satellite blindscan.

So that is why I complete cleanup up this stuff. The package names above are not used anymore by OpenPLi, because they are too confusing. Search for *-blindscan-dvb?-utils instead. They get installed automatically when necessary.

Can you also please try to install it from the feed? Only install satscan and then the appropriate blindscan utils should be installed automatically.

so no blindscan possible

bm750 is the designation that vuplus uses for the vuduo. That same designation is also used in the name of the driver archives for the vuduo.

The build server is using an old version of satscan. I will try to fix that.
