Guys, there's info here about OpenPLi 3:
http://www.et-view-s...0-is-now-online

Unfortunately it's German only, can't find English infor anywhere.
And what's more frustrating, no info whatsoever on the official PLi site http://openpli.org/
Clicking on nightly builds I see 2.1 versions.

Is this OpenPLi 3 official really?

we are working on OpenPLi 3.0 as you can see in our git and twitter logs
but it will bring the normal users no new features
it's mainly a new open embedded core, so a new up to date build environment on the buildserver

it's running already but it needs extra fixes and improvements, it's in alpha stage
you will read it on the forum when the beta images are ready

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

It's a pity that there's no news info on the site or whatsoever etc.
I visit the main portal once a couple of weeks, and see the English forum topics on the first pages - no pinned info or whatever was there. How was I supposed to know?

(The old site and forum (+forum structure) was much better btw - now it's hard to look over the info)

Thanks, replies like this make users go away from the community. I used to translate and keep up to date the Hungarian translation for this image. Oh well, if community doesn't even care to respect its members, who cares?

In this case, don't see what's the problem by asking.

nobody had a problem with you asking.

3.0 is work in progress. The first test builds are being produced right now.
Use at your own risk.

Or wait till the more brave users have tried their luck, and the most important bugs have been found and fixed.

Maybe in the future you and us all are better off by reading OpenPLi related news from the OpenPLi website.

Anyways, lets move on.
