delete the symlink /etc/resolv.conf
copy '/var/run/resolv.conf' to '/etc'
entry your DNS manually in NetworkConfiguration
reboot

Eerste post hier. Draai nu versie 20120529 op mijn 800 se, en alles lijkt te werken nu. Geen probleem dus deze keer :-) Of het probleem zou moeten zijn dat er weer 2 nieuwere zijn nu en ik niet weet of deze nog beter dan de goede zijn die ik nu heb. Maar er zijn vast wel ergens release notes die ik kan lezen?

Voor wat het waard is: ik heb vandaag en gisteren deze 3.o versie van PLi geprobeerd maar loop n ook al twee dagen tegen het verschijnsel aan dat diverse plugins, met als voorbeeld webradioFS, niet werken vanwege "bad numbers in ID". Geen idee wat dat is maar wellicht kunnen de developers er naar kijken.
Xtrend et 10000 met Wavefrontier T90 (8x Smart LNB) en OpenPLi

@mensen - hou even op over plug ins die niet werken, dat is nu wel bekend. Laten we ons beperken tot de meest essentiele zaken - Echt geduld is een schone zaak en plugins zullen worden aangepast zodra de meeste bugs uit pli3.0 zijn. Anders lekker op 2.1 blijven is het devies!

Ja, waar ligt de grens. Om voor mijzelf te spreken, ik draai gewoon versie 2.1 en test iedere dag even de nieuwtjes c.q. verbeteringen die (al) zijn aangebracht in de nieuwe release van OpenPli 3.0. Maar, ................... ik ben niet ongeduldig maar denk alleen maar mee in de zogenaamde "test" fase door te melden wat mijn bevindingen zijn, is ook de bedoeling denk ik van de OpenPli developers. Is dat anders dan horen wij dat wel van de devs van OpenPli.@pieterg - bedankt!

En over niet werken gesproken, het DNS verhaal is nu voor mij totaal geen punt.
OpenPli versie 3.0 werkt prima op een "vast" IP 
Dus wat is nu belangrijk ????Ik denk dat we de volgorde van verbeteringen en/of keuze aan de heren devs moeten overlaten.

mee eens, echter plug ins zijn meestal van derde partijen afkomstig en minder van pli, vandaar die uitspraak.
Overigens interessant, een vast IP en dan geen DNS invullen? Ik vermoed dat je DHCP bedoelt ( en dan geen DNS nodig ).
Hoe dan ook dat is een bekend bugje blijkt en wordt aan gewerkt dan kan men weer een vast IP instellen. dank!

De mooiste manier van een vast IP is de optie in je router te gebruiken "Bind IP to MAC", dan worden IP adressen gekoppeld aan MAC adressen. De meeste routers hebben deze optie. Zo kan je alles op DHCP laten staan en krijgt toch alles altijd hetzelfde IP.

De mooiste manier van een vast IP is de optie in je router te gebruiken "Bind IP to MAC", dan worden IP adressen gekoppeld aan MAC adressen. De meeste routers hebben deze optie. Zo kan je alles op DHCP laten staan en krijgt toch alles altijd hetzelfde IP.

Dit werkt prima,deze optie gebruik ik ook namelijk.

Is deze "vervuiling" nou nodig ?? Steeds maar herhalen dat wget niet lukt ?? Waarom blijven herhalen op deze wijze ???Goede morgen na inloggen op mijn dm8000 ( ze stond nog aan en hard disk staat lekker door te zoemen zonder instandby te gaan ).
Had graag willen testen of DNS inderdaad van 0.0.0.0.0 af is bij koude (her)start, echter zie 2/:
Bla, Bla, Bla ................................
@devs, mijn VU+Duo werkt met de nieuwe OpenPli 3.0 voortreffelijk na laatste update van gisterenavond
Samen met de BackupSuite van @Pedro_Newbie kan ik met deze soft weer uitstekend uit de voeten.

Hier met de laatste ook weer atmolicht (plugin) wie werkt alleen de foutmelding geeft hij wel aan als je in het plugin menu komt hij is ook nergens te vinden maar werkt wel weer.

Update werkt nu wel, dus dat is opgelost. DNS na herstat wederom 0.0.0.0. op de dm8000.
Standby probleem bekeken, voor hen die geïnteresseerd zijn, sorry wederom "vervuiling" voor de anderen...
Ik weet even niet hoe de hard disk normaliter wordt uitgeschakeld, daarom hdparm maar geinstalleerd en zelf even op onderzoek uitgegaan.
Om een lang verhaal dus kort te maken, jawel de HDD is nog steeds in standby te krijgen en zie daarvoor de uitgebreide versie hieronder uitgekauwd, de "vervuiling".

Ik heb een kinderslot ingesteld op het erotiek mapje, als ik nu naar een zender uit die map wil moet ik de pin ingeven en daarna een groenscherm.
