Some plugins like dFlash refuse to install with:

------
Installing enigma2-plugin-extensions-dflash (4.8) to root...
Collected errors:
* satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enigma2-plugin-extensions-dflash:
* dreambox-secondstage *
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package enigma2-plugin-extensions-dflash.
------

The author means that this plugins expects standard 'dreambox-secondstage' instead of 'dreambox-secondstage-dm8000' of OpenPLi 3.0

How can this issue be fixed?

Ask the author to fix it or set his sources public on github

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...

With the ET alpha I have a minor issue with Timezone: UK is now on BST(GMT +1) until October, when I set timezone to GMT +1 it goes up by a factor of 2.
I had the same issue with beta 525.
Is it my incompetence ?
Could anyone explain ?

I can confirm that there is a bug with the timezone settings. Using GMT+2 is wrong - it shows the same time as on GMT. Even setting the correct time via telnet is partly solving the problem, as after reboot it is going again to wrong time.

with dmm: the bootlogo is in 4:3 and sometimes the box gets unresponsive without the spinner and after a while it comes back to normal without any crash, it is even faster now with v 3.0

dmm mediaplayer issues

- movies start playing at the end
- atleast mpeg-4 (ACC) sound in mkv files is constantly breaking
- avi files do the enigma2 suddenly restart
- after fast forward with the 3,6,9 keys the subtitles stop working, this doesnt occurs every time and this was happening with 2.1 as well

If this is alpha state, I assume there will be a beta milestone?
I assume that alpha testing is for developers and hard-core users while beta phase is more enthusiasts reporting back to developers for issues/patches and bugfixing.
Yet I noticed that most posts are from members treating the release as a beta.

There is not going to be an OpenPLi 3.0 for the 800 and the 7025.
Dream Multimedia doesn't supply drivers for the kernel version it uses (looks like they've stopped development for those two models).

No new kernel, but there is from DMM new OE for 800HD to (like to the others boxes) - OE 2.0 ...

Yes with a lot of work(arounds) to get it working now and in the future.

Sound more like dmm drivers issues then oe-core problems. You should ask dmm for fix.

of course .... but is the same "a lot of work" with others boxes (with new kernel with OE 2.0 and OpenPLi 3.0)

I suggest there is no advantage to migrate these boxes to OpenPli3.0 in compatision with the extra work... They can just stay on 2.1...
And in addition I suggest we do not need to do this extra work, because our E2 is still open...

I've just installed open-pli 3.0 on my DM8000. First of all I want to thank the whole developing team! :)
I have one problem... I can't find how to set the wlan, I don't find the option to search the available wifi network...

Thank you again!
