from what I've read they'll be both equipped with broadcom CPUs (solo2 7356 and duo2 7424, 1.3GHz 3K+ DMIPS ) and both still on enigma2
In the '.pdf' file it talks about a chip with 7000 DMIPS... I think maybe they will use the IPTV chip BCM 7435 and provide the satellite tuners etc as separate peripheral components (this also allows re-use of the pluggable tuners used in the Ultimo). The BCM 7424 is a system on chip which has integrated tuners... integrated tuners would probably mean 'non-pluggable'. I hope it all comes together soon. I would love to have one.
cheers

Three plugable slots on the back of the Duo2, but it's left out on the brochure.
On the Solo2, the two lnb slots are labeled "LNB1 Input" & "LNB2 Input" The brochure lists it the same same way.

If you remember, on the Anga 2011 the Ultimo box has presented with a solded tuner and 2 plug&play slots ... the final box has three pluggable slots...
I think the box presented are the first pieces produced and can be changed prior the final stage ... or Vu+ can change brochure

[sorry- therefore a translation]
Can I conclude carefully that the inovations from VU are more advanced that the inovations from DMM... -or- So VU gets more attention then the Goliath project?

You are asking if VU+ is more innovating than DM, or attracting more attention than Goliath?Mag ik voorzichtig concluderen dat inivaties van VU vooruitstrevender zijn dan die van DMM.... ofwel voorzichtig gezegt die van de VU trekken meer aandacht dan het Goliath project?
No idea: what's Goliath?

it's dmm's own 'wunderwaffe' (and you know how did it come to fruition few decades ago? )No idea: what's Goliath?
btw., name of this project does not bode well too...
Goliath – more than just digital TV
Dream revolutionises the consumption of digital media
Dream Multimedia, the leading provider of Linux-based set-top boxes, will provide visitors to the Anga Cable show, which takes place from the 12th to the 14th of June 2012 with a glimpse into the future of digital media. Dream will be presenting its Goliath project at its stand, E34 in hall 10.2.
Goliath is a totally new hardware and software product, combining all the features of the successful Dreambox series, and indeed will go
beyond that. The project will set new standards in terms of speed and innovation, and will revolutionise the manner in which media contents are consumed. Goliath is currently still at the development stage, and it can thus not yet be stated precisely when the product will be available in the trade.
However, Dream will provide a glimpse of the future of digital media at the Anga Cable show. Goliath will be introduced for the first time in
a video. In addition, visitors to the Dream Multimedia stand at the show can get an actual feel for this innovative hardware.
Dream spokesperson Alpaslan Karasu: „While others are still busy cloning and copying, we at Dream are already building the future, in
the shape of Goliath. Right from the start, Dream Multimedia has focussed on the convergence of television and the Internet. These
years of experience are now being brought into the development of Goliath. Goliath will lead the consumption of digital media into a new
era.“
and from what I've read, from the people who were there, this, hmm, 'presentation' /?/ was just kind of 'abstarct' video with Goliath logo, zero substance;
moreover dmm people couldn't tell anything about this 'revolutionary' stb...

Too bad the focus was too much on the xbmc features, instead of the tv-watching features.
Using the touchscreen like xmbc commander to control the box is an interesting idea for enigma boxes and the browser as well. Although the 'arrow up' 'arrow down' action in menu's didn't look that smooth. If each arrow down requires another swipe, a normal remote will be easier to operate.
