as this duo is really tempting except its only limited to two tuners.

By the looks of it the DUO has plugable tuners; that means that they could be swapped for dual-tuners.

any idea when dual tuners will be released. if they do become available it would be great. i would definately buy this new duo.

with ever increasing need to stream to other devices around the home and internet - a fact vu seem to have acknowledged with airplay functionality - i think the extra tuners are essential in the moder setup with ios and android devices.

I don't think that the technology we have today is good enough for that to function properly (around the house, at least) - not with, say, 8 or 9 devices connected, 3 or 4 using HD stuff...

well im not expecting hd streaming wirelessly, but just pulling up a stream is quite useful, especially for tablet owners. take your tv out of the living room and into the kitchen or another room - works brilliantly but takes away a tuner stream. so soon there will be a demand from consumers for these receivers to have more than two tuners.

Nope, sorry, no idea. I did ask VU+ but 'they are still under development'.

It's still in developmental stages, so sometimes EPG (and not just EPG) just doesn't respond... in both Cube or new Vu+ Duo II.

But looking promising...

Please note that all is still in develop stage.
I think that pvr side is derived from MythBox.
Epg is stored in two files: .db and .dat.
It seems it is stored in SQLite3 format (.db) and proprietary format (.dat).
timeshift seems to works fine
Channel list seems to be stored in db format too. There is not a channel editor available yet.
Transponder scanning works fine.

But otherwise, it (Anga this year) was really uneventful (read boring)... Same old same old...

We have not seen (at least I haven't) Reel Multimedia with Reelbox 3, new GigaBlue etc.

Ferrari should be, as the new box is original! And so on and so forth...
