I have DM500HD with Open PLI 2.1 and the time being displayed is GMT. I am in GMT+2 that's what I have put in timezone.

Is there something wrong with some of the nighly builds?
This used to work just fine.

Do you have a file /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Istanbul ?
And if so, where does /etc/localtime point to?
(ls -la /etc/localtime)

No I do not have. When I did the command below I get the following
root@dm500hd:~# ls -la /etc/localtime
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 35 Jun 4 21:02 /etc/localtime -> /usr
share/zoneinfo/Europe/Istanbul
root@dm500hd:~#

But the files are located in /usr/share/zoneinfo. There is no Europe.

weird, but in that case the solution is simple, install the package:

opkg install timezones-alternative

I'm wondering how you got an image without timezones-alternative though...

This did the trick.
Thanks.

I just downloaded the nighly build images.
Perhaps something was overwritten during the upgrade.
