Tried to install pli images and no one of the last 6 versions work.

During a channel search i can only find Thor 0.8w satellites but nothing in Astra 4.8. Sometimes o can got a lock on the transponder but mostly not.
First i thought that it was my box, but then i tried same model but another box and it had same problem. Seems that something doesnt trigg the diseq perhaps.

Anybody else that has the same problem with this transponder locking?

And it seams to work at the first try....... let´s see if it´s stable......

Did not work either :-(. Found all the channels....tried HD channel. Could not tune. Now e new channel search and it can not fins anything on Astra 4.8 ???


I will not try LT image instead......

I only downloaded the image itself, no special satellites.xml.

i have though tested yesterday with a sattellites.xml created from http://satellites-xml.eu/

But same problem. sometimes it has connection...sometimes it has not.

I have heard that OPENPLI does not send out signal to disaq all the time, and thats why the problem occurs when not changing. I cant find the settings in pli for that but in other images there is a special setting to say that the image should send the diseq signal all the time. im not sure if this is the problem or not. Only what i heard.

Also over here 4.8E works like a charm.

It works like a charm on my et9x00...

But as I said.....I have tested both old gemeni on my 500hd...and all the channels are found. I have now tried LT image...and also here all the channels are found.. but using PLI sometimes I get the transponder to lock and beeing able to find the channels...and then suddenly is said....check transponder, no tuning.

I want to use PLI because I like it...but i Cant figure it out why it suddenly stops working on Astra channels?.....on two 500HDs. but no problem at all on e9x00....using PLI.

I have now tested again couple of latest versions...and still using 2 LNB:s...thor 0.8W and Astra 4,8 diseq a/b .....is only founds 667 channels. Between that I inserten gemeni again...and NO problem at all.

Soo..one can say. PLI does not work lika a charm on 500HD at the moment.

Please try the following:

Clean flash, no backup, nothing.
Do not install anything.
Setup your tuner and scan.
After that, reboot your box with the remote.
You should find all channels and they should stay in your box.
Now, after rebooting, install the needed plugin's

At last.....managed to work on both 500hd.

Installed LT. Did a channel search.....found all. Used Dreambox edit and downloaded the whole channel setting...bouquets etc.

Installed PLI.....did NOT let the 500HD do a satellite search for channels at all. Just started Dreambox edit and uploaded the settings that was taken from LT image.

And now it works......

Now we will see if it stops later....i have seen before that it suddenly shouts out again that it can not tune...but it lookes promising now....

It might bee that your suggestion will work. even if i have not tried it directly now.

Why?

Because yesterday i was also trying to fix everything. Did not manage to find all the channels and i got tired of it and said that i will fix it tomorrow (today). unplugged everything and plugged it in on second floor (where my bedroom is)....and it worked..all channels where there.

But when you now suggest this try...it hit me that is was this sequence yesterday. i will come back and tell if it stops working this time....cross my fingers....

i will directly try your suggestion next time..instead of taking the long way :-)
