Hello. This is my first post .Congrats for the forum and the support
Basically i use gemini image to my dm500s but i want to go to a pli image.
I have a question.
I bought an amplifier and i want to connect my dm500 with the amplifier over the spdif output of the dm500
Is there a pli image which supports ac3 downmix? Because with my current setting i cannot make it work

As far as I recall the dm500s doesn't do downmixing. Probably only with dvd's.
But you've bought an amplifier, which can't do the downmixing itself? Because sending ac3 over spdif to the amplifier would be the easiest solution.

I am sending spdif to amplifier but seems that does not work. It seems that the dm500 doesn't support ac3 to the channels.I don't know what to do

That may very well be possible.
The dm500 hasn't been manufactured for a number of years. If you bought a "new" one, it must be a clone and we don't support clones.
The hardware of the dm500 is not sufficient to do ac3 downmixing.
As far as I know the sp/dif support of the dm500 is very limited, no ac3 passthrough anyway.

As far as I know ac3 passthrough worked. I'm certain that it worked for dvd's. But I'm not sure if it works for tv-broadcasts.

on the 7020 it worked for tv-broadcasts. So I'm quite sure it should work on the 500 as well (though I've never owned one of those).
downmix won't work, no hardware support, and not enough cpu power for liba52.

I think, better will be some "non DMM" box... DMM is "a lot of money for little music"
