XBMC has this 'z' key to quickly cycle through 4:3, 14:9, 16:9, zoom etc.
Can a similar feature be implemented for PLi, using a single remote key button?

You might want to try AspectRatioSwitch plugin.
ET9000, OpenPLi 4.0, 13E, 19E
HD51, OpenPLi 6.2, 75E - 30W

For others...Note that it's not in the extensions list.
Found it in the IHAD site and did:
> opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-aspectratioswitch_0.8-20070824_mipsel.ipk
It appears in the plugins section where you can do some settings/enabling.
Works like a charm!

OK... 
We know that there are more plugins... but I would recommend to add them better on demand and tested....
principaly we would like to know were we can find the source codes!!!!

I fully agree.
Search for 'shaumkeks' and 'aspectratioswitch'. Don't know what version this is but it should be inspiring enough:
ftp://klubru.dyndns.org/pluginy/AspectRatio/usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions/AspectRatioSwitch/
You may need to go to ftp://klubru.dyndns.org and work you way through though.
The plugin is from 2007 and funny enough still works on the latest PLi2.1.
About the usage..
The ratios '16:0 only', '16:9' and '16:9 letterbox' seem to suffice. Some of the others cause my tv to react on the setting.
If you use the stop button for ratio toggle switch (closer to your thumb) you'll have problems stopping a file in the mediaplayer (use the 'TV' key to get out).
I use the Help key to toggle ratios.

I wondfer if this plugin could be tweaked a little bit to msuppoer more keys than just HELP, STOP and BOUQUET.
One could adjust it for ET9x000 with keys such as SEARCH, VKEY, MARK and others. However, it seeme plugin.py and plugin.pyo need modifications. I assume keymap-vkey would also have to be added (but this is not a problem).
Using MultiQuickButton does not seem to work because when I assign a key, it just pops up the configuration instead of actual aspect switch.
Any ideas?
