Original driver rt2800usb has speed limit 54Mb/s. Could anybody make Ralink RT3572USB driver from the http://www.ralinktec...port.php?sn=501 for Vu+ Duo (core 3.1.1)?
In some images the Ralink driver is already included instead of buggy rt2800usb included into kernel 3.1.1

Interestingly ….
ASUS RT-N56U + ASUS USB N53 (on HP ProBook 3540s) Wi-Fi speed 28MB/s,
ASUS RT-N56U + ASUS USB N53 (on Vu+ Duo) Wi-Fi speed 5MB/s ….
Uhm ..... I haven't a wifi stick who uses the driver you mention but I've other wifi sticks .... I can make some tests... could you please post a case test to reproduce your situation?
Thanks!

As told just ask VU+ for kernel update.
This will fix your problem. With kernel 3.1.0 on Xtrend I had same problems. With kernel 3.3.0 it works good.
Again .. the kernel update is not the only possible solution.
1) kernel update
2) use driver manufacturer (if exists)
On BH image, we use the 2nd choice if the kernel source is buggy and exists a suitable driver issued by the manufacturer.

Yes but kernel update is easy and community and members doesn't need to do any tricks. When there is still problems you can ask the opensource rt2x00 project for solution.
Personally I find the drivers from manufactor very buggy and the rt2x00 much more stable. (Kernel use rt2x00)

I'm not convinced.
I've used rt2x00 drivers when the kernel 3.1.1 for Vu+ boxes has ben released and many many problems are detected with my ralinks devices ... with manufacturer drivers all works fine.
