Can you give the list of what you have exactly installed (skins and plugins)?

Somewhere in there must be the answer, as it is working on a newly flashed box, not working after you install stuff, and nobody else has this issue...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Now i reflashed 2.1 again (dont ask for version, i always flash latest version). Screenshot working so far. then i uninstall some extensions (yes uninstall)
for example. autobackup, multigraph epg, audiosync plugin and then install (only 1 install) the video enhancement plugin thats all.

after reboot "grab screenshot" not working anymore, this is very strange and i'm tired of reflashing ...

Then I'd expect the "video enhancement" is the one causing it.

PROBLEM FINALLY SOLVED !!! :D

Uninstall of extension "cutlisteditor 2.7+git9853" causes the failure of the "grab screenshot" function.

HD-Glass Skin or any other is no prob, i can install everything without problems ! only removing the cutlisteditor causes it !!!

ok, cutlisteditor might try to install it's own (incompatible) version of grab?

So in fact it removes the grabber when you remove/uninstall the cutlist editor?

I suggest that dependency should be removed then....

yes the old-webif is using other screenshot application (still working grab function).

the openwebif gets unusable after uninstalling the cutlisteditor !

It should be enough to add the depend: aio-grab also to enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif so it won't be removed if the cutlisteditor is removed.

Makes sense if the cutlist editor is the only one listing that dependency. Then opkg concludes that it isn't needed any longer.

I have just noticed this thread and I would like to confirm an identical problem on my DM800se with a 2.1 image from 13 July.
After that I have not installed any Cutlist Editor although I used Autobackup, so it may have restored some of the files from my previous installation.
What do you recommend? What's the easiest way to get rid of the no-screenshot problem?

hmm, so you didn't remove cutlisteditor plugin? (actually that was the cause of original problem...)
anyway, try:
opkg install aio-grab
should /?/ help...

I didn't. But it is not in the list of plugins installed. I can certainly try and uninstall it using telnet? What command shall I use?

anyway, try:

opkg install aio-grab
should /?/ help...

I will try when I get back home. However, /usr/bin/grab is present on my box.

cutlisteditor presence does not cause 'no screenshot' issue, it's removing of it that cause it ;)
so thyere's no need to uninstall this plugin...

hmm, that may indicate that your problem is different than TS...
if you have aio-grab installed, check if 'grab' command produces screenshot

this 'cutlisteditor' problem/fix relates to 2.1,
no openwebif screenshot on 3.0 is quite different issue:
http://openpli.org/f...197#entry284197
to fix it is a little more difficult I'm afraid...

Yes, screenshots are normally saved to O:/var/volatile/tmp but on OpenWebif I only get a spinner on my 800se with 2.1. :(

FYI, screenshots should work with openwebif & 3.0 again, in tomorrows build.
