Unfortunately, despite disabling Viera Link features in my Panasonic TV, sound keeps disappearing occasionally and the best cure is to disconnect and re-connect HDMI cable.
What is your experience, Zzzleeper, malacai?

Once your sound is gone, try the following:
Simply change the soundsetting AC3 downmix to on, for less than a second, you should immediately start hearing sound again, then switch if back to off. Sound should stay on after that.
If it behaves according to what I describe above, then there is a possible fix in enigma2; I've been looking for the spot where this can be fixed, haven't found it yet though.

I don't know about the others but my problem does to correspond to what you say.
First of all, my setting of AC3 downmix is ON all the time so I cannot switch it to ON and then OFF. I only use HDMI cable for direct connection of DM800se and TV for both audio and video.
