I have problem with most 720p *.mkv movies, it doesnt work, or it works few seconds, but its in slow monsion. Dunno what happened i cant compare movies, but as i remember in the past i didnt have any problems with movies. I watched alot of .avi .mkv etc. Last month i started to watch only HD movies(720p) and most of them doesnt work;/ Probably OpenPLi missing some drivers... Few last movies with didnt work:

Not sure if all movies in *.avi works, tested 10 and 10 worked. What more, im watching movies from HDD with is in my computer, as i remember i use CIFS.

I suggest this is driver related.... Can you try these MKVs on another box?

I have only one box;( Hmmm... i could try, as i read 3.0 isnt stable, so is it possible to backup 2.1 and then install 3.0, test movies and go back to 2.1 with backup. If not i can give you link to torrent with this movies and you will test it.
Another option, maybe i should reinstall everything, download soft and install it once again(not by update).

There is one thing which I can add... I also watch some tv shows, also 720p *.mkv and it works, maybe drivers isnt problem, maybe it is size of movie, tv shows= around 2gb, movie= 4-6gb.

I had not problems with 720p files under 2.1 on my 800se. Under 3.0 it work well too.

Not all 720p's. I have reinstalled PLI and issue still exists;/ Seems i have to try PLI 3.0, but i dont have time to search info and read about install and how to come back to 2.0 if 3.0 wouldnt be stable. Ims try more movies, cant be that problem only exists on my 800se, I have reisntalled everything from 0 and tested it on clear image without needless plugins. I'll try to watch this movies from pendrive, maybe cifs make troubles, who knows?

Not sure, but as i remember i have read in the past, that dm have some trouble with DTS. Does PLI play movies with audio DTS?

downloaded Get.the.Gringo... and no problem. May be, your net was not ok, when you playback from PC or on your net is big traffic?
Try place movie to some USB device ( Flash, HDD and you will see.

I am playback my HD files from HDD, USB and NET (Synology NAS) and no problems.

Tried to watch movie from pendrive, also didnt work;/ So lan/cifs isnt a problem. Its something about drivers. Weird... Can you download exactly the same copy of movie as me, or check weight Get the gringo, to make sure its the same copy, and test it on 2.1, because maybe on 3.0 it works, on 2.1 not? Here's Gringo's stats:

Tried this file under clear 2.1 and under 3.0. All without any problem. DTS works, subtitle works, video ok. May be, your pendrive is so slow for playback? Box is original ?

Have you tried with the ac3 downmix setting enabled/disabled? (perhaps the box is trying to downmix dts, in software)

late... now is there 3.0 again. But as i remember, under 2.1 was box's volume for DTS without effect ( with enabled/disabled downmix).

Thx for advices, helped me in 50%, soo i changed ac3 downmix setting from enabled to disabled, and video is ok now, but no sound;/ if the setting is enabled video plays in slow motion for few seconds and it stops and theres no sound. So its something about ac3/dts downmix setting. And yes, box is original.

Any more ideas? Whats different betwen yours dm800se and mine. Didnt change much in setup(nothing important). It can be technical problem,? After flash everything should be wiped, right? setups, files etc. So if it worked well with your box, why didnt work on my box. Do you have some more ideas about ac3/dts? Seems its something about audio. Still waiting for help, because i like to watch some movies at evenings and now 90% of this movies doesnt work:(

Why you did not wrote as first, that your problem with this files is in AUDIO ? Before my reflash to 2.1 and then reflash back to 3.0 ?

I am using my box connected via SPDIF to my receiver with DTS decoder => all worked well for me.
It seems, problem will be in downmix DTS . As I remember, when was 2.1 version only, I think, it was ok, because I tried it.
If it working now, this I must try again => I must reflash back to 2.1 and try it.

Because i didnt know? I found it after pieterg's post. My box is connected with TV via HDMI and TV is connected with dvd(home threater 5.1) via EURO cable.

Before i will reflash to 2.1 again:

when is downmix disabled, dont playback this movies at all or missing audio only ? When i had there 2.1 yesterday, then playback was OK with/without downmix, but I am using SPDIF ( and my new Philips TV doesnt support DTS).
I think, most of TV dont support DTS and (if does not work downmix 2.1 ?) then audio does not pass to your home theater too. Can you connect box to your home theater with optical cable ?

If downmix is enabled video plays normal for 5-10 seconds without sound and it shows 0:00:00 and next after this 5-10 seconds video start play in slowmonsion frame after frame, now it shows 0:00:01 and changes to 0:00:02 after lets say 10 seconds. If downmix is disabled video works well, but still theres no sound. Hard to explain, I'll upload you movie with test;) I dont know if my TV support DTS. Also cant test it with optical cable because i dont have cable and my home threater doesnt support it(no in/output). Only TV does have.
