Hi,

tmp folder is not present in PLI 3 root..
After installing Hypercam, I tried to add manualy with DCC-E2 1.44 the tmp folder. This folder is necessary for this softcam to put some basic infos like subscripter card validity...
Trying to installe the missing folder with FTP, I have been surprised to observe that the foder in question be automatically installed in var/volatile/tmp....The softcam wich did not worked was instantly ON...
Being not aware of what I should have do, I did not make any symlink action.
Can someone let me know what has hapened???

/tmp is in the image by default, it's a symlink to /var/volatile/tmp, which is intended and works fine.

if the /tmp symlink is missing (or /var/volatile/tmp is missing), you probably disconnected the power during the initial boot after flashing, while the volatiles were being installed.
It's important you let the initial boot, after a new flash, complete.

hi pieterg.

For your PLI 3 feedback, I did not do so....

As newbie, I was not aware about symlik /tmp to var/volatile/tmp...I can't check that as /volatile/tmp is present now...
The softcam did not run before anyway...I suppose, for any reason, the /tmp was missing after flashing the image.....
