New user - installation feedback; question about Wizard

I live in Norway and just installed OpenPli on a newly purchased Vu+ Duo.
The Wiki is out of date... I consulted the Wiki before installing and was told to make 2 directories/folders; one inside the other: vuplus/duo. I downloaded the latest nightly USB image and extracted it the 'duo' folder I had created on my memory pen. ..... Ha,ha.... installation did not start....... After beating my brains and getting as dumb as everybody else, I checked the pen....the folders the Wiki said I needed were included in the downloaded image...now why didn't I know that?
After using the Wizard that met me starting up PLi to configure my A and B tuners, I found I couldn't save let alone get out of the tuner configuration window......after having powered off and re-installing the image several times, a friend suggested I try the 'exit' button on the remote control....but once was not enough....
I found no other way to get back to the Wizard than to re-install the image. So... is there a way to 'recall' the Wizard from 'inside' PLi?
Thanks very much to the developers.... !!

Welcome here.
I don't agree the wiki is out of date, the information in there is correct. Whether or not you get the correct folder structure greatly depends on how you unpack the downloaded zip file.
As to the wizard, there is a config value in /etc/enigma2/settings called 'conf.misc.firstrun'. I haven't tested this, but I assume that if you stop enigma via telnet (init 3), change the value to "true", and then start enigma again (init 4), you'll get the wizard again.
I can't remember the last time I used the wizard though, I usually exit it immediately, and configure the box through menu, setup.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Did you try the OK button at the end of configuring the tuner?
Yes, Pedro_Newbie... I tried the 'OK' button too. The point I was trying to make though is, there was no indication of how to proceed after completing (if in fact it was completed) the configuration of the tuner. The Wizard was suppose to guide me through the process was it not.....?
I did't/don't want to sound ungrateful when I mentioned the Wiki guide was out-dated. But none the less it was stated:
2.Create a folder "vuplus" in the root directory of the USB disk (note: this HAS to be lower case!)
3.Create a folder "duo" in the "vuplus" directory you've just created (again, this HAS to be lower case!).....
....yet the latest zipped image created these folders in addition and therefore did not allow me to install the image. I did unpack the zipped image to the 'duo' folder I created....and no, Idid not copy the '3 files' (point 6) to the 'duo' folder....that would be the long way around. So I couldn't argue with 'WanWizard'..... I only regret he didn't get my point.
Also showing pictures in the Wiki from an image that does not compare with the current image, does not induce confidence and easily leads to uncertainty...when trial and error shouldn't be an alternative.

There was a new entry in Main menu => Setup => System = Harddisk, after I installed a 500GB drive, which PLi recognized with maker, model (?) and size.
Leave it that 'Intialization' means starting something....The Wiki says (in this case) it means 'formating'.... I left the Harddisk at '5 min. standby' (whatever this means) but answered 'yes' to initializing, (message said I could carry on watching TV and do other things in the meanstime).
I know from experience formating takes time.....but do I have to guess when the process is complete; no indication after answering 'yes'. After 15 min. I pushed the 'Exit' button ( I guessed this would allow my to leave "Harddisk" choice). I tried again....30 min. this time and was met by, for the second time, an ill-fated message stating: Initializing storage device Error: unmount: can't forciblely unmount/media/hdd: No such file or diectory. I searched the forum: 'Install harddisk' but no joy.
I think I'll forego asking what this message means, and trust I won't see it again....if someone will be kind enough to help me by supplying a comprehensive How-to setup my harddisk.
In advance...Thank you

I did get your point just fine.....yet the latest zipped image created these folders in addition and therefore did not allow me to install the image. I never blindly unpack entire zip file structures, and almost never to an empty USB stick. So for me it is important to know what the structure on the USB stick should be.
If the wiki says that you need a specific file structure, and you didn't check that what you copied was copied correctly (as in the right files to the right location), who's to blame?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Thanks again....WanWizard! The level of precision/care you are speaking to is not indicated in the Wiki....I am the user providing feedback and can not be expected to know what you know or how you would do something....

We are very aware of the current state of the wiki (the sorry state that is), we used to have someone responsible for documentation, but he hasn't been active for quite some time. This is a typical example of something that could be phrased a lot better.
So anyone reading this: THE OPENPLI TEAM NEEDS A VOLUNTEER TO MAINTAIN THE WIKI DOCUMENTATION! Hope this helps...
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Thanks again, but your initial response to me was none the less: " I don't agree the wiki is out of date," and now you say it's in a sorry state, go figure
Be as it may...when the Wiki falls short, I had hoped to make use of the experience found in the forum and not get into a squabble with a moderator..... I've stumbled again as posted above and would greatly appreciate help to my request.
WanWizard, I sincerely hope you get many who are willing to volunteer to help maintaining the wiki documention..... but doesn't such an appeal belong somewhere else? No need to answer.

Perhaps I should have said "I don't agree the wiki is out of date with regards to the specific point of the folder structure". I didn't mean the wiki as a whole.
