Hi !

I am a paying customer for True/UBC in Thailand. Recently they have changed the cards and replaced the receivers. Now we can receive HD contents as well.

I have been using a DM8000 for several years, and would like to continue using it, over the crappy receiver they provide.

However, I can not figure out the correct configuration for the new HD card.

The first person who can help me to get this work, will receive $100 USD.

Again, I am a legal subscriber to the service and legally own the subscriber card.

I'm not opting for any reward; if we would be able to help you that would just be fine.
First tell us what the situation was, before upgrading the smart card: were you using a CAM or a softcam? If the latter, tell us the contents of the file CCcam.cfg located in /etc

Which protection your provider uses? Maybe they intruduced anti-CS measures.

This is happening all over the world, content providers are starting to lock things down so good that us hobby enthusiasts can no longer get our cards to work. I'm sure if someone knew a solution they'd help you for free..

It seems though as most commercial card sharing groups do have solutions for these measures, probably bought and well paid for from either company insiders or someone who cracked the system and trying to make money out of it instead of sharing with the community. As it's getting too hard for most hobby users to get their legal subscriptions working on their STB of choice, many sadly seem to be turning to these commercial and illegal card sharing providers.. it's happening a lot here in greece lately with the new lockdowns on Nova for example. The Nova smartcards can only decode one channel at a time now anyway, so card sharing is close to pointless, making it a bit hard to understand why they insist on keeping the cards married to their own proprietary receivers.

Consumers really need to stand up and protest against being locked in with providers proprietary hardware, or things will only get worse.

It's a big shame really since everyone is loosing on it (except the card sharing mafia)..

Previously I was using ccam. But now they changed to Videoguard. So previous config file won't help. I have been trying various configurations and searching the net etc. I have been screwing with this for several months now. I have a basic understanding as to how this works, and have invested some time in to t his. But I am not an expert ... and don't want to become one, unless I am forced by the providers.

If I can't find a solution I will cancel the local service and look for alternatives. I am not interested in local providers anyway, as I mostly watch FOX, AXN, HBO, etc ...

I will go and get a appropriate dish to get those elsewhere if I can not use the local providers offering.

I did have another thread in this forum, which didn't go anywhere. So I decided to offer some $$$, I don't mind to pay somebody to figure this out, and hopefully being able to share this for legitimate use ...

HD+Videoguard almost 100% means hardware pairing which means that you cannot use your card in unofficial receivers. Sorry....

I live in Thailand. Nobody can figure out for to sharing code too. NDS videoguard version that they 're running was guarantee for 8 years for anti-cs and hack. :-)
