Hi,

Just got me a Sunray triple tuner (800hd se clone with triple tuner)
Installed openpli 2.1 and rytec epg but the epg fails to download due to 'unknown channel' (Comhem Sweden)
I had the same set up on my old 7025 and that worked flawless.

i wonder if it has something to do with the triple tuner?

The log is filled with this below. Should it be like this dk, no & fi and so on? se is for Sweden.

Unknown channel: History.dk
Unknown channel: MotorsTV.dk
Unknown channel: ESPNClassic.dk
Unknown channel: ESPNamerica.dk
Unknown channel: ESPNamerica.se

Cheers.

The XMLTV file is a combined file for all the Nordic countries. The channels file is a separate file for each country.
Now a bunch of channels in the XMLTV file are unknown in the channels file, and this is what the above message means.

f.i. if you import the Swedish package, you wll get this message for all most all dk, no and fi channels.
Do not worry about it. It only helps us finding problems.

This has nothing to do with your set-up.

Willy

Ok, thanks.
But the thing is that in the gui, if a do a manual epg download it says 0 downloaded.
And all channels in the log are 'unknown'.

I wonder if it has something to do with this triple tuner, the set up of the tuner is a bit special. It's like a dvb-s tuner that runs in dvb-c mode.
Maybe the id (or whats it called) of the channels are not like they should be?

Could you point me in a direction where to look?
I remember something about editing a xml file with all the cannels in it, channels.xml? But i can't find it now :(

Cheers.

This is possible.
F.i. switch to one of the SVT1 chanels

On your box: Menu - Information - Stream information
See if the Service ref coresponds with one of these:

Try a second channel.

If the service refs are different you have a problem.

The channels file is now on the servers and is downloaded when needed.
You can download it and save it locally on your box in etc/epgimport
But remember to edit the sources file as well to point to channels file in etc/epgimport (now it points to a website)

You have to manually adjust the service refs in rytec to the ones you use.

I have the same Sunray 3/1 combi tuner and config for dvb-c/t is not the default one.

in order to scan!(dvb-c/t only) with the 3/1 tuner you have to put in front of the freq 01 and some more adjustments for symbolrate ect, thats why your service references are not the same as a normal dvb-c scan.

You must have notice also the normal default picons dont work for C and T, they need some editting.

Its not rytec's fault..

Thanks,
I'm not quite sure how to do this editing.
Do you know if there is some guide or something like that somewhere?

To do the initial scan for my provider i did replace sattelites.xml and did this adjustment to the tuner in advanced settings:

Satellit Comhem
LNB 32
Prio Auto
LOF user def
LOF/L 00000
LOF/H 00000
limit 00000

And one more but for Comhem_QAM256

After that i did a automatic search that did take like one hour to complete.
Attached the sattelites.xml if that is some clue to anyone.

Btw i heard of 'cable scan' that it's really fast and so on, but i can't find that option in OpenPli 2.1?

Thanks a lot for your time and effort.

Attached File satellites.zip 1.01KB 30 downloads

Thanks,
If i do this the epg will not update i guess? If the source points to the local file instead of the website?

I belive my service refs are borked due to this triple tuner thing.

Like suggested i think i have to manually check the service ref of my channels and then replace them in the channels.xml?
Is that the way to go if the service refs are 'special'?

Thanks again.

I think i have got it now.
I have edited a couple of channels with my service references for a first test.

BUT i do not know how to edit the source file to point at etc/epgimport
Could someone please help me to edit the source file? I'm not familiar with linux syntaxes.

Just remove all contries and keep Sweden but point it to /etc/epgimport/channels.xml

Thanks a lot.

Open rytec.sources.xml in /etc/epgimport with an text editor (Pspad or Notepad++ will do)

Find

Rytec Sweden XMLTV

and edit the line to read

Rytec Sweden XMLTV

and copy your edited rytec.channels-sweden.xml file to /etc/epgimport

If you now import the swedish package, the importer will use your own channels file.

Just want to say thank you.
It is working just fine now with my own service references.

Cheers.

Small problem.
As far as I know, Crossepg cannot use a local Channels file. The channels file has to be located somewhere on the net.
But otherwise it is the same. Edit channels fie with your new references. Put the channels somewhere on the net.
And adapt the crossepg fle so it is reading the modified channels file.

In XMLTV importer you can use a local channels file. Just fill in the url section the path and filename.
something like this:

France XMLTV

or this

Rytec Benelux XMLTV
