Today I've installed the OpenPLI 3 on my ET9200. I've copied my old movie dir which was mounted by CIFS via rsync to my hdd. The copy-job ended without problems.

But I think we've got a bug in the SMB module. I've got about 700 files in the dir, but the samba share lists only 70 files. I also can't see the subdir, but the direct access with name works. I've tried moving a bigger part of the files to a subdir. While that I watched the file counter in windows going up and down, so I think this is behaviour is caused by a special combination of files. Didn't get it, looks like a bug for me.

First of all I thought this would be related to file rights, but it isn't.

Can someone explain this

P.S. I also noticed that the SMB daemon can't no longer being started / stopped by the init.d script. Is there a better way than killing the smbd-processes?

Thanks at all.

please try again after tomorrows update, I added LFS (large file support) for samba.

(and the samba scripts are in /etc/network/if-up.d / if-down.d, because samba needs to be started/stopped when the network interface is brought up/down)

Noticed something interesting today, too. Switched the HDDs between my two receivers, nothing surprisingly that the problem persists now on the other one. :-)

The "problem files" can't be accessed (read, move, delete) in anyway. I've made a screenshot of the directory. I've moved every file, skipping the problem ones, into the 'Test' folder. I don't see any relation regarding size, rights, characters and length of the names.

The /tmp/smb.log file doesn't say anything about the error.

Thanks for your support.

P.S.: The issue is only regarding the .ts files.

The problem probably exists for files > 4G, so indeed the ts files.
This is why I (tried to) enable LFS.

But todays update did not help?

Updated it 2 hours ago via opkg update, opkg upgrade and then rebooted.

Like you see in the screenshots, he was able to move files > 4G and also got stucked with 3G files.

Is there any way to get a more detailed log of the smb daemon?
