Hi,please correct encoding.conf.I get wrong EPG symbols on some channels from Satellite Bg on 23.5E (on channels where using simulcrypt with chech/skylink)

It look like this:

Every time after update have to put my edited encoding.conf file to get bulgarian epg on these channels...Same happened on Eurosport Bulgaria HD on 13.0E

I attached my file with "good" EPG :)

Attached Files

Gigablue Quad +250GB HDD ~ Xtrend ET5000 ~ Triax110 Black Multifeed 36E/28E/23E ~ Total TV88 Multifeed 19E/16E/13E/9-7E ~ EMP Centauri 9/1 DiSEqC ~ Panasonic L42G20

I am sorry this is happening, but I do not have a clue why this is happening.
The XMLTV file is in iso-8859-5 (or is suppose to be in this coding).

But the HistoryHD is not in the Bulgarian XMLTV file. And I do not have the service ref for it. The channel is present in the Czech/Slovak package (HistoryHD) although I am not sure about the service ref.

Now I could try to deliver the file in utf-8, which is more foolproof. Since enigma2 and the XMLTV importer is compatible with utf-8 this would be possible.

In order to investegate this problem:

1. I need the service reference of this channel
2. Clear all your epg in your box, and reimport the Bulgarian package alone.
3. Now see if you get History HD epg (you should not have)
4. Reimport the Czech/Slovak package and see wat this does to epg.

I use "standart" EPG for bulgarian channels, not plugin EPG import, the problem is with encoding.conf file, when I use mine file, everything is OK (I delete "chech" transponders)

see on TSID and ONID on this channels and rem line for it there in /usr/share/enigma2/encoding.conf

eg:
Eurosport HD BG : TSID c85 ONID 3
then remove line with: 0xc85 0x3 ... and restart gui

but then will be bad chars on skylink's czech programs...

if you read carefull my first post, you will see, that I allready do this (attached file)...but have to replace encoding.conf with mine edited file everytime when I update my box.

playing around with encoding.conf if there are more than one language services is provided from given transponder is risky business (to say the least);
if your changes would have been be applied, then other language epg would be broken, classical 'squaring the circle' problem...
imho, the best solution would be to make encoding.conf customizable - ie 'personal' encoding.conf in /etc/enigma2 would overrule default in /usr/share/enigma2
//but another question if it's possible? devs probably could tell ;)
True sarcasm doesn't need green font...

Hi. I have same problem with encoding epg of Magtisat (http://flysat.com/magti.php) package on Astra 1G @ 31.5° East. It's a georgian epg, but I see only wrong symbols. How can I fix it?

Hi. I have problem with encoding EPG (spacing instead of letters) from Viasat 4.9E (TP 12245 V). I tried to edit encoding.conf file with no luck.
