I' m looking for a tuner which can also capture the analog cable channels provided by Telenet cable here in Belgium.
I'm using an XTrend9500 with OpenPli3.0
Anyone here has experience with this?

thanks
jean

I don't think an analog tuner is possible in a digital receiver. It lacks the hardware for digitizing the analog input.

I have been looking a bit further and I came across this device:
elgato eyetv hybrid receiver

Could this work with an XTrend9500?

regards,
jean

There are linux drivers available for this receiver, so if someone can make them work, you may have a chance.

Whether or not it will work greatly depends on these drivers, and where the analog -> digital conversion takes place. If that is software, then you can forget it, an STB doesn't have the CPU power for it.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Since it is a USB receiver the AD conversion will have to take place in the stick.
