If one has an HDD (or a large USB memory stick mounted as "/hdd", I suppose), one can add "1ch" folder to HDD (/media/hdd/1ch is the path).
Once you make the folder (right click on /media/hdd folder and > Create directory), give it the "rights" to "755" by right clicking on "1ch" folder > File attributes >
Numeric value > write 755 > OK. Restart E2!
Now, "1channel" plugin is using the newly created "1ch" folder as a buffer or even downloads a film/episode to it, for later watching.

Has anybody succeeded in getting this to work?

Littlesat, it seems, doesn't read the "Manual", like any right and proper, full-blooded man... :D

The download function is yet to be added... ;)

But /tmp buffering does work.

Why is this plugin available on my ET9000 but not on my DM8000 in the PLi download section?

Perfect plugin BTW

Hello again,

On my ET9000 it wors like a charm. I installed the plugin manually on my DM8000 (because it wasn't in the 8000 3rd parties plugins) but when I try to use it there it gives a GSOD:

Thx that works :-)

@PLi would it be possible to add the plugin also in the DM8000 feeds (including python subprocess) so it wil be installed using autobackup/restore

You could also plee that the plugin is only a search engine and the content itself isn't in the plugin (just like google and torrents) but I understand this is not a position PLi want's to be in so I respect this. But this kind of plugin is what the entertainment industry should provide, then I would be happy to pay for it. I could watch every episode of my favorite series where I want it when I want it (and also the same time as it is being broadcasted in the US). The only downpoint right now is that it isn't HD.

But this has to offer so much more, for example: For nostalgic reasons I've always wanted to see an episode of the original Battlestar Galactica (which I loved as a child) I sometimes searched for torrents but there were too few seeders or wasn't available all together (so I didn't bother because it was too difficult for just a fling). This afternoon I selected the first episode and a few seconds later I watched BSG 1978 for 3 hours. Content industry this is what users want!

But it searches directly to illegal content...But the ipk is on the internet so I cannot stop using it ;)

They do.... It is called VOD. But there is no official plugin for E2 yet. But for smart-TVs and so on they are already there....

The plugin used to work on both my DM8000 and ET9000. Both have been upgraded to the current OpenPLi, now the plugin does work on my 8000 but not on my 9000 I discovered yesterday (don't know how long it has been disfunctional). See the error log:
