You have to implement the change to the config.misc file with enigma stopped.

In order to do this, type in a telnet session:

init 4

Now edit the config.misc file with your changes,
Restart enigma with:

init 3

Now the changes will stick

thanks willy
can you also tell me the location of rytec.channels.xml file? I see the last update of this file on rytec.be from 21/09 but I don't know where to copy it.

No need to download and copy this file. The file is automatically downloaded when needed.
This file is on the rytec website just for reference and those who want to manually play around with it.

If you want to do this, you have to place this file in /etc/epgimport and adjust the rytec.sources.xml file accordingly.

These lines:

<source type="gen_xmltv" channels="http://enigma2.world-of-satellite.com/epg_data/rytec.channels.xml.gz">

But beware that form that moment on you have to maintain the channels file yourself.
