This new box uses the new BCM7358 soc, is this chip dual-core? is it fast? what box can we compare the performance of this new soc? is this soc more fast then the BRCM4380 405mhz dual-core??

Single core 500MHz. So most things it will actually do faster than the dual cores. The difference isn't likely to be noticable, as usually you'll only have one task running (the GUI) that needs the CPU.

You can use external USB i guess

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...
