For your information:
I have measured on a Wavefrontier T90 rail that one degree is 22 mm on the rail (between the two indication lines).
With this info you can define the distance between two LNB (in degree's).

However be aware that the body of (especially) Twin and Quad LNB's ) are much wider then the heads of the LNB.

Thanx for the measurement.

However, I have Smart Titanium Twin and Quad LNBs (0.1 dB) here and they are the same, except twin have two outputs blocked. Everything else, in terms of size, is the same...

Their bodies are not larger than their heads. In fact, it seems to me heads are a little bit wider, so no problem there...

If you know the dimensions of the Smart Titanium (head or body, what is the biggest) you can define an indication of the minimum degree differences.
That is way i measured the 22mm/degree on the T90 :-)

See the image attached: you can see 2 degrees (5 and 7 East, using a slider) and at the opposite end 2.5 degrees, using standard T90 LNB holders - at a push, a bit of 'angling'...

But it all works, since there is redundancy in this dish's geometry...

I have a similar construction on 9E-7E-4.8E. The drawback is that you cannot finetune the position as the LNB is completely blocked by the adjacent ones.

* Wavefrontier T90 with 28E/23E/19E/13E via SCR switches 2 x 2 x 6 user bands

Well, if we are talking T90, then it could be 10/7/5E, whereby the two side ones are using the T90 LNB holder. I set it up like that and 9E was properly functioning through 10E LNB.

In that case only 7E will need to be on the adjecent LNB via a rail slider and it functions well, there was no need for fine tuning in my case.

As I said, there is some redundancy in T90's geometry, so it grabs more than an ordinary dish..

Keep in mind that my roof is slightly in the way, so I need to use every dB of signal I can get...

And now you'll have to start watching all of this :D

I am practising a slightly different approach now. I have four quattro LNB's for the "main" positions (13/19/23/28) connected a multiswitch, so all boxes can watch these simultanuously. Then, I have seven "normal" lnb's that are connected to an uncommitted switch, which is connected to a standalone receiver (a dm800 at the moment), in the neighourhood of the switch itself. I scanned all lnb's and put all channels in bouquets. On the other receivers I imported the "remote" bouquets. So now you can watch all LNB's on all receivers (although only at one at a time for the non-quattro lnb's).

Hehe, I just started watching and as I check I will write down what I asked for, so here is a helping hand to enthusiasts - at least with my setup, where a
I am at the moment (but I suspect most places will have similar results in terms of signal strength for TPs)...

The weak(er) TPs to check how well your dish/LNB combination for a given satellite is aligned... (I will try to update this thread, as I discover the iffy channels/TPs):

P.S. The main thing in all this is that I learnt a great deal and I suspect I will do it next time we move - and maybe I will add Quad LNBs to the rest of the setup, not just the 4 major ones I have now, so all recs will be independent and maybe even Octos for main ones, so twin recs are fully served...... ;)
