Just a quick enquiry on the default EPG found on E1 images when working on UK Cable (Virgin Media)
How does it work?
I see from E2 boxes that the EPG data is captured for all the channels on the ONE transponder/frequency (the currently viewed channel tp/frequency), leaving other channels blank (until you view a channel on their tp/frequency)
When using the DM500C, it is able to populate the entire 24hr EPG for all channels and it does this while viewing the channel it's tuned to (meaning it can't be using other tp/frequenices)...
To be clear, I'm not talking about the Tivo EPG here, just the 24hour EPG that is updated each night at midnight that is used to populate the default EPG (not the SQLite EPG).
Some further information or a link to the EPG code would be most appreciated as many E2 boxes cannot achieve this
