Hello Openpli !!

I am very happy with my VUUNO and Openpli... I was wondering , would it be possible to connect a webcam to the USB port in the back of my box and somehow record video using ffmpg? i have succeded doing the same thing in a laptop and ubuntu :

ffmpeg -f oss -i /dev/dsp -f video4linux2 -s 640x640 -i /dev/video0 ./recording.mpg

can openpli recognize a webcam as a /dev/video* device ? this is mostly for home security applications...

Your stb will never be fast enough to encode video on the fly. And besides v4l(2) is not included in the kernel, it wouldn't help you anyway.
