Hi PLI team,

I have problems playing some mkv files.

An mkv file plays fine for a couple of minutes and suddenly audio disappears and time pointer 'jumps' forward. Video continues.

I tried to play it on different OpenPLI versions (vanilla OpenPLI with no plugins installed):

- OpenPLi-2.1-beta-vuduo-20120924 (everything is ok, no problems with playback)\

- OpenPLi-3.0-beta-vuduo-20121014 (playback problems)

- OpenPLi-3.0-beta-vuduo-20121022 (playback problems)

Enigma2 log does not tell what is wrong...

Can you please check the version of the drivers? I hate to say it, but it's probably a driver problem.

Or gstreamer issues..... we need to downgrade -or- upgrade gstreamer....

same vuduo drivers on all three, btw no problems on dm500hd

BTW although you may need hear much from us, we are taking this problem serieously and we ARE working on it. It's just not simple, believe me.

The upgrade of gstreamer is not easy.... it might take a number of weeks...

btw, isn't that odd that dm500hd is problem-free? is there any difference in gstreamer version on dm500hd and vuduo?

There are several problems with gstreamer at the moment, some of them appear only on certain boxes, indeed and some of them may be caused by driver issues actually.

How could you tell that the dm500hd is problem free ?
I wanted to "show" openpli to a friend who has a dm500hd and he was really disapointed because he had exactly the same problem I have with DTS-HD on my DM8000 (constant DTS is fine on all box I know about).
For me even with those problem I still prefer openpli and I can wait for a proper upgrade (or even downgrade) of gstreamer :-)

i was not referring to problem with dts, read the first post...

I was just refering to "problem-free" which is certainly wrong here.
