As you see, previous fix "has been ready since around the 15th of december", but not a single note to the forum members waiting for it...

yes, it was mentioned and discussed in various threads on our forum (but we probably overlooked this one)

Read from this http://openpli.org/f...839#entry319839 post down and you see how many times it's mentioned.

Excuse me, but ...
This is not the solution.
It's just a bug fix, not more.
Apparently level openPLi 2.1 will never happen.
And at the moment is the main disadvantage openPLi.
Huge minus ...

Which problems still exist? Most files I've played play OK after the 15th December clean reflash. Using ET9X00.

also installed a new image, and so what?
50% of the video does not start at all.
On the other almost does not work fast.
Look for other topics in this forum.
Someone wrote that he does not work PTS.
This is all from the same opera.
On openPli there are very big problems with playing any video / audio files.
It was broken in the last year, and now probably will not find a real reason.
This is a dead end, with no alternative no.

50% of files do not start? I can't observe this, I have many MKV files and although I haven't tested them all, all I've tested play fine. I have some children's movies that I play back often and all play fine (mkv's with DTS or AC3 track). What box do you have? I have ET9000.

Can you give links to some problematic sample files?

Take my word.
Why do you spend your time?
All these files are perfectly playable and rewound at PLI 2.1.
I have a backup in мay 2012, to put it in 15 minutes, checking the files more than once.
And by the way, forward files that worked for PLI 3.0 to 15 november, now is not working on the new software.

I did not mean to offend anyone, respect the work of others.
I have heard of PLi 4.0 I hope everything will be fixed.

My friend, I do believe you there are issues. In order to solve a problem someone needs to find the source of it. Just switching images from 2.1 and 3.0 doesn't help, there have been so many changes in between. I understand there is issue with jumping forward/backward, correct? I've experienced this also, but not on 50% of files. It happens rarely to me. The issue that playback doesn't start at all is an issue I haven't seen, can you provide a sample file?

The file doesn't work indeed. But it shows bad behavior with vlc as well. Seeking in vlc often crashes vlc.

As stated here many times - files with DTS-HD and DTS-ES soudtrack do not even start.
I have ripped my blue rays to mkv and almost none of them do not work with OpenPLi 3.0 and they all play with 2.1
Most of the new movies have DTS-HD and it needs extra work and time to downconvert it.

So, the problem is only with DTS-HD and DTS-ES tracks? All DTS-ES? Some are DTS-ES descrete 6.1 and some are DTS-ES matrix.

If this is the issue, maybe it can be traced easier. However, this is far from telling that 50% of the files do not play. Most of my files don't have DTS-HD or DTS-ES.

Sorry for my bad english. :)
Almost none of them work, was what I wanted to say ;)

I cant say all, but what I have tried dont work. Plain DTS works OK.

Openpli isn't alone. DMM has also a problem with DTS since may 2012. There is also a problem with subtitles within mkv.

Some User wrote that the subtitles bring the player to crash.

(Excuse my poor English :P )
