Hello friends,

I would like to ask a question.
I have a et9000 decoder with multiple satellite configuration and using openpli 2.1

Is there a possibility that when i add a recording i can also tell the timer to zap to the channel to without making a second entry ?

the only options i have are (zap) or (record), an option like (zap and record) would do the thing i guess.

Thanks for any input.

I think that, at this moment this only is possible by adding an extra timer entry, just as you mentioned. One for recording and another for just zapping. To be honest I don't see the point of this option. ;)

Thanks guys for your replys.
The thing is that if the box is at 1 channel and starts recording an other then my smartcard stops decoding due to ecm limits.

So if the box remains open without me monitoring it then i miss recordings. So if i tell it to zap and record then i dont have that issue.

Second issue is that sometimes if i am on another satellite and a recording starts on another satellite sometimes the second tuner doesnt switch on so the box needs power off and then on so it starts working again.
Probably the second thing is a diseq switch problem, but if i zap before record then there will be no issue.

Thanks alot though guys.

Just reporting back,
Using the recordinfobar seems to work but each time the channel switches it uses the second tuner (B) and not the first one (A).
Is there a way i can avoid the use of the second tuner with my recordings ?

Thanks again

recordinfobar simply switches to the channel being recorded and all.
This is the same that you will switch to the channel manually with the remote.

Thanks for your reply.
Apparently it doesnt work like using the remote.
When i use the remote, it changes the channel only on the first tuner but when using the recordinfobar it changes using the other tuner.
I dont know why, but can someone else confirm this?
My box is the xtrend et9000.
Thanks

Well thanks for confirming.
Such a shame, maybe there is some kind of workaround for this ?

No,set preferred tuner->tuner B
Then recording timer will begin on the tuner A

Ok tried it, but the thing is not to use tuner B when watching tv but to use tuner A for both watching and recording.
Just to zap to the channel when the recording starts on the same tuner i am using.

The thing is that i have problems when using tuner B, i get tuner failed most of the times and are forced to reboot my box to get the tuners to start working again.
I dont know why this happens but i am assuming it is a diseq problem.

Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesnt.
Thanks for your help.

download the 'satellite equipment control' plugin, and configure a few additional delays and/or retries, that might work around your diseqc problem.

I installed the plugin, is there any sort of information as to what i have to try out ?
It looks kind of intimidating.

Can i screw something up by mistake with this plugin ?
