Hello,


I have DB800 in my sleeping room, and even the dimmest setting of LCD is too bright when the box is not in use.

in some other images it was possible to turn off the LCD display completely when DB800 was turned into StandBy mode.

Is there a way to turn off the LCD on Standby in OpenPLi, maybe in some plugin if it is not possible in the settings of the basic image?

Yes, but even when the slide bar is in the total left position (minimum brightness) it is too bright. In my box it does not totally go off. Should it go totally black as I wish? What is wrong, then?

I tried again, but no. When the standby lcd setting is in most left position (dimmest) it is still very visible, especially during the night.

Could you, please, OpenPLi gurus, add an "lcd completely off in standby mode" option to your "user's wishlist"? I think this could be quite easy to code in. :-)

I use hdglass16 skin in my dm8000hd and in the skin setup menu is an option for lcd off in standby, but i have never used it as i prefer my screen to show the time.

That skin seems not to be available for DM800. :-(

Can anyone suggest another one with LCD off function in standby?

No help...? I am desperate with this thing. What about a shell command I could give from telnet prompt to turn off the LCD? It must be possible, as the brightness comes down with the scrollbar in options. There must be a value to set it to 0?
